Answer

Excellent question koz! I'm really surprised it's not stated in the ad. Unlike a composite grinding wheel, this is a directional blade and should ONLY be used in the direction of the arrow. Using it in the opposite direction can be very dangerous. Having said that, I have the same issue with my WorxSaw. If you turn the blade over, you'll see that it now spins in the indicated direction. Voila!

Wet or dry is OK, but if you use it dry wear a dust mask and have a fan behind you to blow the dust away from you.

I purchased this blade to cut a granite counter top and 19" into the cut the blade stopped spinning! Turns out the gold ring to help lock the blade in place flailed and in turn the blade stopped spinning. So frustrating. This is probably why Home Depot does not stock this item in the store.

I used this blade to dry cut granite counter top. It did a great job, the blade didn't heat up too badly. The only issue I had was something I saw at least 1 other person complain about. The brass ring in the middle came out as I tightened the blade. It didn't affect the way it cut, but I'm not sure that I want something spinning that fast to not be centered - so I have mixed feelings on using it again. I was able to press it back in after removing the blade, but it's too bad that a blade that cuts that well would have this issue.

Used to cut quartz countertop with a circular saw. Cut very smoothly. I was able to make about 10-15 feet worth of cuts. It started to cut slightly slower at the end but still got the job done.

Cuts Amazing!
This blade makes cutting granite, even the thick stuff, like a hot knife through butter. I could not believe the difference between this blade and the one I replaced! Definitely will buy again!
