I've been waiting to move into a new home to install this very nice, Centennial, Extra Large mailbox. It includes all the necessary mounting plates, pole and trim pieces.
This is a heavy-duty mailbox. No flimsy sheet metal here. It's also large as you can see in the photos with the measuring tape. This should fit just about anything you'll need to have stuffed in the mailbox.
The fit and finish are first rate. All of the pieces are trimmed nicely. Everything fits together well. I'm guessing this will be extremely sturdy once the pole is firmly placed in ground and the mailbox attached.
My only criticism of this box is there is nothing to secure the door to the box when it's closed and the friction fit is rather loose. I'm going to have to tweak the edges or figure something else out because I'm afraid the door could fall open.

Would highly recommend this mailbox. Install was a breeze. There are step-by-step instructions included that are super easy to follow. It probably took 15 or so minutes to piece together the mailbox, not including install into the ground. There is an oversized area for storing packages and mail, which is super convenient when the weather is poor. Probably the only fault is the bottom portion is plastic. With that said, that doesn't impact the usage and it looks fine & matches with the metal on the rest of the mailbox. It is heavy duty and seems as though it will last for quite some time.

I’ve been wanting to replace my raggedy plastic mailbox for years with a more sophisticated looking mailbox like this. I do say that doing this project in February in the northeast part of the country isn’t probably the best idea, but I decided to move forward on a day that was at least 40 degrees.
Digging the hole was no problem since the ground wasn’t frozen up. Make sure it’s at least 12” deep and use a sack of “post setting” concrete mix, as it sets up quicker than normal cement.
Once I set the post, I insulated the concrete with a moving blanket and threw snow back on top. I then gave it 24 hours to set up due to the cold weather. Fill your hole halfway with water before gradually adding the cement mix. Important note: per the directions; be sure the post is oriented properly before cementing by using the mounting bracket and confirm the bolt hole locations since the holes in the post are low on one side and high on the other. I see no reason for this difference in height on each side, but it is crucial that you use the bracket to check alignment of the box. Mine would have faced the driveway if I hadn’t double checked.
The remaining installation was simple and swift. The door is magnetic to keep it securely closed which is a nice feature. The poles and box are made of galvanized steel which has excellent corrosion resistance and a lifetime warranty. The box is very large so it should accommodate most smaller parcels and with the inside dimensions are 13” wide and 10.5” high. The rubbed bronze color is very rich and looks great.

This ARCHITECTURAL MAILBOX is extra large at 10"H X 14"W X 18"D will hold a lot and all the mail carriers will love you. It's all metal (handle and flag too) except for the two plastic covers. The mailbox weighs 12 lbs. and the pole another 6 lbs. The directions are easy to read and assembled with the hardware supplied it is a sturdy unit, just needs to be cemented in the ground.

The Centennial Black Extra Large Parcel Mailbox plus Post Kit, by Architectural Mailboxes is a very solidly built steel mailbox and post. The 3” post comes in 2 sections for a total length of 52.5”. The X-Large mailbox has an outside measurement of 14.2” wide x 10.9” high x 18.3” deep from outside of handle to rear. The inside measurements are 13.2” wide x 10.5” wide x 16.3” deep. The mailbox is mounted to the steel post with a metal bracket that fastens to the underside of the mailbox with screws (provided). Please follow the included assembly instructions sheet. The sheet is 2 sided but are very concise. Prior to installing the mailbox to the post, the post has to be mounted in the ground, preferably in a concrete base to give it the needed stability. According to US Postal Regulations, the mailbox is to be 41” to 45” from the road or ground surface to the bottom of the mailbox. You must allow an additional 1” for the bracket when calculating how deep to bury the post into the ground/cement. Be sure the post is perfectly plumb on all sides. When the post is plumb then the mailbox will be level. Slip the plastic bracket over the top of the post, then install the metal mounting bracket onto the mailbox and post. The plastic bracket is to be slid up to provide decoration. Another plastic decorative post cover is provided to cover the base of the post. The mailbox also includes a gray-metal 7.5” flag. This is attached with 2 bolts that could be removed if you prefer to paint it red. This is a very nice, heavy, well-built mailbox and post that will last you for years of use. It will look very nice in front of our home. Made in China.

I'll be quite honest here, this is a very large mailbox! lol this thing will hold all your weeks worth of mail and packages, and probably still have room leftover. You can see in one of my pictures that a standard mailbox fits inside with ease, and that the centennial mailbox is doubled in size. Solid construction in the box and post. This will definitely add top notch curb appeal to your home.

I recommend this mailbox in certain instances. First and foremost, even with the description saying "extra large", I was still a little surprised by just how large it is, so if you frequently receive big packages, this is ideal. However, this mailbox is not compatible with the standard 4x4s that many mailboxes are mounted on, so if you have an existing mailbox using a 4x4, you'll have to dig it up, and then it's recommended you set the new post in concrete. Also, this mailbox is fairly easy to assemble and it's sturdy, but I was a little surprised that the shroud that covers the post is plastic. I do really like the silver handle and flag as well as the magnetic closure.

This is a monster box. I was amazed at how large this thing is. I almost have decided to put it up near my porch for deliveries instead of at the street. This interior of the box will accept a package that measures 16 x 13 x 7 . It's currently frozen here so I will be installing this in the spring. What you need to know is this is a good durable product. There is nothing chintzy about it. The hardware is nice the stampings are smooth the finish is flawless. The metal while not 49 chevy thick is superior to the low end box you usually buy. Being stamped it doesn't feel like a cast box but it feels substantial. You get everything you need to except the tools and cement.

If you get a lot of mail, you need this mailbox. It is huge. I attached pictures to compare with a standard mailbox. It is a quality addition to your home. Comes with everything needed to install except a bag of concrete for setting the post. Very impressive looking. The decorative covers for the upper mount bracket and hardware and the lower covers for the bottom of the post just set it off. The lower covers are mounted loosely to the post so you can lift them if you need to trim grass or weeds away from the post.
