A:  The regulated height requirement is 41"-45" from road surface according to USPS. Depending on your installation and location, this post may not work and it is good to check prior to purchasing as we try to accomodate most installations.

            Love the simple design!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old mailbox post was wood and I had to paint it twice a year because it flaked off. It looked horrible. It’s amazing how a simple post can make all the difference. This does require concrete to be set, which I didn’t realize when I got it but a quick trip to the hardware store fixed that quickly. My husband got some foaming concrete kit that expands as it locks into place. Very simple to install. Very happy with how it looks!

              Sturdy and attractive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product. The mailbox pole is sturdy. It looks great. We dug a hole, put concrete in and voila! It looks great!

                No More Wobble
Installed by a previous owner who did a poor job. Like one reviewer said, my mailbox wobbled like a bobble head. Initially I though nothing of it. After the third time after a strong wind knocked it down, I decided to fix the problem. I initially was going to replace it, but did not feel inclined to dig, etc. Straight to the point, I bought two 3/8-16x2 Hex Tap bolts. Problem solved. No more wobble. If you just want a mailbox that is inexpensive and serves it purpose, choose this one.

                  Poor construction, poor quality control
Like others have said, you get what you pay for. The connector will not hold the two parts of the pole tightly no matter how tight the screws are. I ended up putting a brace in the ground next to the pole and connecting with zip ties, to keep the top from flopping around. It looks terrible but I figure this won't last the winter anyway and I'll have to redo the whole project. Poor quality control as there are 4 bolts for attaching the mailbox; each bolt needs a nut and two washers. One of the bolts had no washers with it (or loose in the bag). So I'll have to go to the store to get two washers since they weren't careful enough to include everything that is needed. Stay away from this piece of junk!

A few old reviews said that the joint between the two pieces of the post was wobbly and loose. I took a chance and tried it anyway. Those reviewers either had a defective part or they just weren't assembling it properly. I have no doubt that this post will have no problem withstanding the next 100 mph plus hurricane that comes our way. I will definitely buy this post again when the next careless driver mows down my mailbox.

This is such an awesome looking mailbox post, and it was incredibly easy to install. I love the bronze finish. It's so beautiful looking in real life. I reused my old aluminum mailbox, but I'm going to get a new, matching bronze mailbox soon. That will be really sharp. The top of the post already has a built in mounting kit for attachment of the mailbox, so you don't need to buy a separate mounting kit. As you can see in my pictures, there are predrilled holes perfectly measured to fit all normal mailboxes that are 6" wide. If you have a mailbox that's larger than 6" wide, then two expander brackets are included. The various sized hardware for attaching the mailbox and the optional brackets is included, also. Since I had a mailbox already, the only additional purchase was one bag of Quickrete. I don't have a post hole digger, so I shoveled a hole about two feet deep and about 10" - 12" wide. I dumped the entire bag of Quickrete into the hole, then added one or one and a half gallons of water. Using my shovel to mix it together right there in the ground, I didnt get any concrete splatter on my shoes or my clothes at all. I immediately set the post in the hole, because the Quickrete is quickly firming up. After holding the post in place for 4-5 minutes, the concrete had hardened enough to walk away. An hour later, I added soil back into the hole on top of the hardened concrete, and attached the mailbox using four screws. Honestly, it just can't get any easier. The post is heavy duty steel and strongly constructed. I foresee it lasting a long time.

Great mail box post, like that its different than the standard boring wood ones that everyone has. Nice to have a stylish and modern look. I know its just a mailbox post, but just a nice little touch to you front yard. Well made and comes with all hardware for different styles of mailboxes. The finish is very nice on the metal post. Feels very well made and should last a good long time.

                    Nice Post
Nice design and clear instructions. I put the post together and installed it on the mailbox in about 15 minutes. It is a very clean look and hopefully durable for a Michigan Winter. I like the post and would recommend it. However, I gave it 4 stars because the post is smooth all the way to the footing. I needed to install a bolt through the base for the concrete to hang onto. I wasn't confident the smooth post would bind well with the concrete.
