Product Details

Measuring only 5/8 in. thick, PureVue LED lights can be configured as a sleek surface mounted puck or a flush, ultra-thin downlight when recessed mounted. The diameter is 2-3/4 in. and the fixture uses high quality all metal construction and has a brushed steel finish. Each light comes pre-wired with a 36 in. color-coded power lead for easy direct wire connection. 12-Volt low-Voltage safe, simply cut or extend cables to meet any installation need. Lights can be installed individually, linked together, or combined with Armacost LED tape lighting in the same circuit. The number of lights installed is limited only by the output rating of the power supply.

  • Requires a 12-Volt DC power supply, sold separately
  • Uses only 4-Watt at 100% brightness

Q:Do these lights get hot. Can the lights be recessed in wood?

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in Armacost Lighting. Our LED lights give off little to no heat. Once they are installed the mounting surface will act as a heat sink to dissipate heat.

    A:  They do get warm but not hot in comparison to a incandescent or a halogen. They are meant to be surface mounted. I believe that there are fixtures of this type that can be inset.

      A:  The lights themselves are low voltage. The system requires a transformer that operates on 120VAC. Unless your 120VAC circuit is switched you will also need a power switch. There is a power/ dimming switch available. Transformers are sized to number of lights on the circuit.

          A:  Thank you for your interest in Armacost Lighting. The puck lights can work with this driver if you plan to use a remote control or standard on/off switch. You can control the lights using a Lutron LED wall dimmer, however, you will need a dimmable driver, such as this one; https://www.armacostlighting.com/shop/20-watt-dimming-led-driver-12-volt-dc-power-supply/

              The product description did not make clear that it did...
              The product description did not make clear that it did not include peer supply. Also the rough opening size/diameter was not correct except for penetrating a thinner 1/4” material and then it would be difficult. Manufacturer should try installing in the hole size described.

The screws are so tiny, i couldn't put them in working under the cabinet. luckily, i had some double sided tape and used that instead. The light works great, but the attatchment design is terrible.
