It was the perfect item that is reasonably priced and which arrived on time for our job.

This strip light quickly went from, "What am I going to do with this" to"How did I ever do without it"? Checking it out on the bench, it seems sturdy, well made and versatile! You can cut it, make smaller sections of light or add another strip. At full brightness, it draws a mere 20 watts. You can adjust the brightness down to 2 watts. It can play a stobe light show, so I wouldn't put it in a vacation rental, it would drive your guests nuts! In considering where to install it, I considered using it for indirect lighting above an entertainment center, a head board structure above our bed or above the indoor hot tub, The answer was at my workbench: It was lit with 2 8 foot long lights, drawing a total of 160 watts! I replaced it with this strip light and am saving 140 watts!

I used this under my cabinets in my kitchen and they are amazing! I had no issues with flickering or humming like I've experienced with other LED lighting.

Installation of the LED strip took me longer to install beginning with wanting an accessory to string under the microwave so the LED's would not light the stove. Maybe that was a mistake, but I bought the wrong wires, and the clip used to connect the end of the wire. I included an image of the right ones. I had trouble with the install. You can cut the led strip to length, but the small wires that connect to the piece, those clips are an absolute pain to get on correctly. They pinched the cable and kept coming open. You are working under the cabinet, and the clip comes off after you stuck it to the back wall. I had some small wire holders leftover from a garage door installation, so I used them to hold the wires in place where the two cabinets come together. I also opened the electrical converter so I could drill my holes in the cabinets the width of the wire, and not the width of the plug. I also cut the 110 cord to length instead of having a bunch of rolled-up wire. Looks much more professional. Note: I had to buy a small #1 Phillips screwdriver for the converter box to get to the screws. When done it looks nice and my wife sure likes it. The remote works anywhere I put it so I am going to double face tape it to the side of the microwave. I’m happy with the product but keep in mind, it is not the easiest thing to install if you want it to look professional.

I ran this ribbon light tape on the inside of my basement bar. It adds a nice looking glow coming from inside the bar area and also gives you enough light to find the items we are looking for. It is reasonably priced for accent lighting. Installation is very quick and easy. The set seems to be well made and reliable. I expected more issues getting it to stick but so far I am pleased.

This Armacost Lighting Ribbonflex Pro Warm White Tape Light Kit with Remote is going to be installed under my cupboards in the kitchen for more lighting. We haven't put it up yet but in a few weeks we are going to install it. The instructions are easy to read and understand and simple to install. My kitchen is dark and needs more lighting in there so this is where we are going to use it at.

This is a great system, just peel and stick and you're on your way. We used it for lighting under both my daughter's beds and it went up super fast. You can cut it to length (on the copper marks, about every 4 inches). We decided to cut it and use the flexible connectors any time we made a 90 degree turn, it made the install a lot easier. I have a Ribbonflex PRO and a Ribbonflex... and I have to tell you, the only difference I can see is the PRO has a stronger power source (possibly supports longer runs)? If I was doing it all over again I would have gotten two of the non-PRO units because the power source is more like a traditional DC adapter . The PRO power source is more like a long laptop DC plug. You use a remote control to turn the system on and off after it's installed. My girls like that you can adjust the brightness with the remote. Overall a really easy system to install and use, I would use it again in a heartbeat.

One of the advantages of LED tape light is the elimination of dark areas that can occur with strip light that don't run the full length of the area you want to light. In the past my avoidance of LED tape light has been due to unsightly power supply, the unknown quality of the light, cost and product reliability. I only wished the Armacost LED tape had been available before I decided to have an electrician install our under cabinet lighting. While he did a great job and we are happy with the results, with this kit I could have done the job myself and saved some money. The kit comes complete and is ready to plug in straight out of the box. Yet the power supply allows you to remove the plug wire should you want to direct wire the unit or simply run the wire through a small opening. The same is also true of the 12 volt wiring. This design flexibility simplifies installation as you can route your wires without concern to the attached power supply, plus you are able to shorten or lengthen your wire runs for a custom fit. The LED tape is just over 8 feet long and includes two connecting cables for either adding another LED tape or for cutting your existing tape and bridging around obstacles. The tape itself can be cut every 2 inches on the copper strip marking. Just make sure to match the polarity when connecting strips together or to power supply. The LED tape has 3M backing adhesive for sticking to most clean surfaces. The included RF remote allows step dimming, along with preset light levels. There are also half a dozen strobing, flickering and flashing effects for your wild parties. If hard wired to a switch I would only use the remote for dimming and not for cycling power as it could get confusing when the power switch is off and someone can't operate the LED lights with the remote. The 3000K LED output will create a warm glow, although for task lighting in the kitchen I would prefer something above 4000K. This is not RGB so you only get one color light. Still the lighting is even with good coverage. Additional LED tape and connectors are available directly from HomeDepot. The 3 year warranty gives me confidence this will preform for all long time. Since I already had LED tape in our kitchen, we opted to dress up our mantle self with some up lighting. Both the Mrs and I are delighted. This is probably the best DIY kit in design and function that I have seen and it doesn't hurt that it is reasonably priced. Note if you have highly reflective countertop you may see the individual LED lamps as they are bare and do not have any frosting in front of lens.

This is a well designed LED strip light kit that will work in a number of different applications. It is well suited to be used as under-counter lights. The power supply has the versatility to plus into an outlet, or after removing the cord, to be hard-wired directly. The kit includes cables for bending around corners with the ability to cut the tape at designated locations. The remote control works well with pre-set brightness of 25%, 50% 75% and 100% or the ability to set something in between. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to change he light temperature to something other than the 3000 K warm white.
