Q:Will this work on a 50 inch cub cadet
by|Sep 3, 2021

Answer This Question

A:  According to the specs on the package it goes up to a 42" deck.

by|Sep 5, 2021

A:  It will probably work on the the left and right blades but the middle is in question.   The blade has to be next to outside edge of the deck for it to work on the middle blade

    by|Sep 3, 2021

A:  Yes it's mainly made to hold blades for safety it fits really well on my cadet

      by|Dec 4, 2021

A:  Yes. The size of the deck doesn’t matter with this tool

        by|Sep 5, 2021

A:  Should, you attach to shroud housing. My Cub Cadet was a 42".

A:  Yes, I use it on a deck with three blades and it works great!

            by|Aug 7, 2020

A:  Indeed. I use it on both sides of my 42" Ariens. A little more difficult setting it on the discharge side, but it works fine.

            by|Aug 9, 2020

A:  Yes. But if your blades overlap, make sure to install new/sharpened blades in the same position as the ones you remove.

A:  Yes I use it on my toro timemaster. Must have for holding blades when torquing to specs. Beats a scrap 2x4 every time.

              by|Aug 9, 2020

A:  Yes, it worked well on my 46" deck with dual blades.

              by|Nov 18, 2020

A:  I believe the tool will work for one blade at a time. This tool is great for removing lawnmower blades.

                by|Aug 6, 2020

A:  Yes. Just attach to the deck to change each blade. You can't do 2 at once. :-)

                by|Aug 6, 2020

A:  yes, i use car ramps to get the tractor high enough to get under it. worked fine.

                by|Mar 31, 2021

A:  Yes. I use it on a 2 blade Cub Cadet. It will slip unless it's wedged against part of the deck frame. The nuts that hold the blades in place are really tight, so you need this to hold blades in place while loosening them. Worth the few dollars it cost.

                by|Aug 7, 2020

A:  I have a double blade deck and the tool has to be moved to the other side, but it held solid on both sides and was easy to install.

A:  Worked on my 46inch cub cadet ztr with deck on removing both blades and sharpening them took about 30 minutes.

                    by|Aug 4, 2020

A:  This tool should work fine for any Mower deck regardless of the size length blades. While you have that deck off.. you might want to check the Blade Mount Bearings if the Mower has some age. Not hard to change and prices vary... This is a regret I have for not doing while mine was off - $2 inch TroyBilt Rider- Rebuilding what you can when accessible.. is never a mistake. Good luck

A:  I don't use a stand. I'm able to use the tool as the riding mower sits. I do raise the deck to it's max height.

A:  You do not a stand and I do not know where or if you can get one (look for a lawn mower lift) just make sure air filter is on the side into the air.

                        Multiple Blades
I have a Grasshopper 930D commercial mower with a 72” cutting deck with 3 blades. I bought three of these to do all the blades at one time. These are well made, sturdy, and precise. They require little effort to tighten and hold the blade In place. They do not move whether install or removing the blades. Great product.

nice way to easy hold a mower blade
easy way to hold the blade in place specifically is someone put the blade on to tight before you.

                          Excellent Tool for the purpose
I was wondering how I was going to hold the mower blade stationary while trying to remove the bolt. This tool was the answer and it worked perfectly.

                          Awesome Simple Tool
Great tool! There is a rubber cap on the end of the screw that you tighten so as to prevent marring the lawnmower. Installation take 30 seconds, removal of the blade takes another 30 seconds. Simply Fantastic!

BEST TOOL YOU THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER NEED
Remember before removal of your mower blade to first remove the power from the spark plug . To change a blade on the mover most of us usually shove a 2x4 up the shoot to keep the blade from moving. This little tool is so easy to use that it makes changing a mower blade so quick you'll wonder how you ever got along without it., The rubber feet slide onto the outside of the mower deck and then the clamp tightens it in place. This stops the blade from rotating. With the blade stop in place you can easily use the largest wrench that will fit to remove the blade. Once the blade is changed, simply unscrewed the tool with a single turn and it comes right off. Rinses clean, small and easy to store. No tool assembly required.

Better Than a Block of Wood!
I wish that I had obtained one of these years ago. Easy to install and remove, this device is ideal for changing out lawnmower blades. No more wedging a block of wood in the mower deck.

                          sturdy tool,
Upon ordering this item I was indeed in need of a replacement lawn mower blade on my Lawn Boy push mower. Unfortunately by the time it arrived my old lawn mowers engine blew out the side wall ending its use altogether. So I ended up buying a new Yard Machine at home depot which will also need a blade replacement someday therefore I will hold on this sturdy handy tool for that purpose and or the relatives and neighbors may be in need of it. It is one of those tools you always wish you have right when you need it....Very sturdy tool. I am sure it will last for many generations to come. Thanks Home Depot for another fine tool.
