Customer Reviews

Hammer-Tacker is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 953.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from hammer flange in tacker head broke I've used the hammer tacker to staple silt fence skirts to wooden stakes when they've pulled loose and thermal sheets for drywall.. The metal flange attached by a hexhead knurled screw which punches the staple into the wood broke and there are no replacement parts available, a simple knurled screw holds it down. When the flange gets loose the tacker starts to jam. You need to be able to order and replace the flange as the tacker is easily disassembled and for a cheap .25-.50 cent piece of metal, it's an expensive replacement cost to buy a new stapler, not that I will now. Also, to clear jams, the stapler head needs to have the beveled base head knotched so its easier to pry open to clear jams.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy tool to have for party decorating I purchased this Hammer tacker to decorate our patio for parties. I love that I don't have to squeeze the trigger to staple decorations. I used it with 1/4" staples to remove easily after the party. Hanging posters and color streamers was easy with this tool. I have other plans for it as I am a DIY(er) and often need to staple wood or cardboard. It's sturdy but light enough for long projects. This will also work great to reupholster an old chair. I have one that I've been putting off. Now that I have this Arrow Hammer Tacker, I will need to start that project. Have fun using it. I have. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HT55 staple hammer loads easy, staples quickly My new HT55 staple hammer with code 1117 is a real time saver. Simple design makes for less jamming, easy loading and makes quick work of a job using the old squeeze type stapler, which I have two of. I had an old staple hammer which finally broke years ago. I finally had a job that required a serious stapler so I laid out the money for it. I'm glad I bought it. I'm using it to hold down visqueen and roofing felt. My HT55 has done an excellent job for me. I'm glad I bought it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont buy knock-offs I purchased a "knock-off " version of this product from aCanadian retailer that has stores from coast to coast ( you Canadians know who I mean) and never had anything but problems with it. the final straw was when I was trying to wrap a house under construction with house wrap on a windy day and the knock off kept jamming. I stopped work, went to a store and bought an Arrow HT55 and NEVER had any issue with it. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for so get the best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A quality hammer tacker I bought this to insulate a garage, and it handled the job well. I found I was even able to drive staples in tight corners where I couldn't swing the tool with a quick shove to the back side of the stapler. One design issue is that the end cap and spring rod which hold the staples in would occasionally bump into things while I worked, and unclip, ejecting itself across the garage. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked as advertised I purchased this for installing insulation on a project I was working. I bought from a local supply chain. The first one I purchased had gotten jammed on multiple try's, until it no longer worked. Took about an hour of use. I liked the design and thought I would give it another chance and returned for a replacement. So far so good.. Used for several hours. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for tight spaces We (meaning my younger and skinnier helper!) needed to retrofit ventilation baffles in an attic with a low pitched roof. The T-55 allowed him to staple the material securely, with an extremely limited backswing. None of the other staple/trackers I have used in the past could have delivered the wider T50 staples.
