Not sure about the manual being wrong as the other poster says, we had ours installed by an electrician.

incorrect wiring figure in manual
Page 11 figure 6 is incorrect. It shows two black wires attached to the black supply wire. There is only one black fixture wire in addition to one white wire and one copper wire. There is however a copper wire attached to the bolt on the canopy base. What wire is attached to the ground screw? a statement clarifying that the screw is optional and necessary if the is no ground supply wire. I had to look at a different model to see that both the copper ground wire and copper fixture wire are attached to the copper supply wire. Other than this issue the manual and installation were easy to follow.
