A:  It should if you apply it according to the directions and providing it gets no direct water. I have this and another pattern installed in 2 humid locations and so far no problems.

A:  Artscape can be applied to any smooth and non textured surface. Once applied the film will hold up against the steam and spray of the shower.

A:  We purchased this window covering for two locations in our home.  Both were successful and easy to accomplish. 1. Pantry window above the door (smooth glass) It looks like a stained glass window and has been in place for 3 years..no issue.  2. The long (60" X 14") Front door window above our front door for the same reason also successful for 3 years. If you put your covering on the shower door, it must be smooth glass and on the outside of the actual shower as condensation will form on the inside and cause it to peel.  Follow directions by cleaning the outside of the shower thoroughly and use Glass cleaner (alcohol based) on the surface before attaching the covering and using a squeegee to force out any bubbles, starting from the center.  Trim with razor to get exact size if it's recessed. Best of luck!

Q:I need this to fit a door window! I do not want a seam in the middle. Can I order the size to fit my window. All I need is the longer portion that some of the window films come in! Thank you for your help!

A:  No, but the seam was not noticeable on my sidelights.

A:  Do they come in longer and wider sizes?

                by|Jun 22, 2023

A:  Thanks for your question. Without the exact measurements for the door window, I cannot answer. The film only comes in one size. I used mine on the glass panels of a bi-fold door. It used the full 36" length. I did have to trim the width. It would be nice if it did come in different sizes. I think a lot more customers would use. I'm very pleased with the way mine turned out. Saved me from having to replace the door or even the decorative glass panels which the older pattern wore off somehow. The film gives a great new look to the room. I hope this helps.

A:  New Leaf is only offered in the 24x36 size. As long as you are matching a manufactured edge to another manufactured edge the seam is nicely hidden!

                    Answer This Question

A:  I don't thing it will work on texturd glass. It depends on the smooth surface to stay in place. I could be wrong but common sense tells me it needs a smooth surface to stick to.

A:  We used ours on glass block window.

                    by|May 18, 2021

A:  I don't know the texture of your glass.

                      by|May 14, 2021

A:  I don't think so. The film adheres to the glass so getting it to lay flat on textured glass may be a problem, so I don't think it will stick well in the corners or along the edges.

                          Beautiful and Effective
I had reservations about using a window cling because I thought it might look tacky or really limit light, but this product looks lovely, provides privacy, and allows lots of light (but no peepers) through! I do recommend having a squeegee for installation. That helped everything stick.

I used this stained glass leaf look to cover the lower 20” of the windows my Dachsund barks at to announce any outside movement of birds, squirrels, cars and cars. It’s working well and goes great with this old house

Loved the look on our front door so much, looking to do another window. What a fun pop of color. The paper backing was a bit of drag to deal with, but not too much of set back. Also, had a few air bubbles, but those seemed to resolve themselves in a few months of summer sun.

Nice alternative to drapes or blinds
I decided to give this product a try because the shape of our bathroom window makes covering it for privacy a challenge. I put this up over four years ago and it looks as good today as it did when I installed it!

                                  Looks great, not cheesy
Our home is 100 years old and I wanted privacy in our sleeping porch turned bathroom. I wanted stained glass (almost as much as I want the thousands of dollars it would cost to do real stained glass.) this $30 option was a great second choice. Privacy, class, easy and forgiving installation, and if I ever get tired of it I can just pull it off.

                                    Beautiful Accent!
I have a dormer window on our 3rd floor that needed a privacy treatment. I decided to try out the window Artscape window film. Super easy to apply and the results were phenomenal! Changed an awkward window into a beautiful accent window that looks like it was built into our older home.

So easy to use, and perfect for our privacy needs in the front door panels. From the outside, the design is very subtle, thank goodness. From inside, it’s a real splash of color!!

Backing paper doesn’t peel off well
The backing paper doesn’t peel off well. Leaves behind blotches of the paper. Called artscape’s customer service and was instructed to take the product off, scrub it in a circular motion with a scrubby pad and put it back up. I did that, it has a residue stain still that can be seen when light comes through. Artscape customer service then instructed me to peel the film off again and scrub it again. I am done with this product and the poor customer service from the manufacturer.
