Questions & Answers

Hello, are these "sharpened" and "percision ground" like the Milwakee Shockwave bits brag to be, or should I spend the extra $1.50 on a bit I'll probably only use one time?

Other than saying, they don't make brick like that anymore, have yo tried using a hammer drill?

Thank you for your question! This specific application may require the use of a hammer drill and hammer drill bit depending on the hardness of the actual brick. To discuss further, please email info@avantiprotools.com. We're here to help!

    Does not work.
Does not work. Do not buy. I was able to drill 1 hole with this bit before it dulled to the point of uselessness halfway into the second hole.

Did exactly what I needed it to do in short order. Drilled into the masonry FAST without a hammer drill! I put up an outdoor mount for a 55” TV. Worked perfectly!

      It's bowed
It's not even straight, so I have no idea how well it would even drill if it could. What a piece of garbage. I expect better of Home Depot than to pawn this junk onto us and waste our time. When in the drill, the tip spins way off axis.

        1.5” into concrete and smoked
Needed to drill into my concrete garage floor to put anchors. I have 4 holes to drill. After exactly 1.5” down on the first hole, this bit is smoked. It simply won’t go any further as the tip is no longer sharp. Will go back to Home Depot for a Milwaukee masonry bit. Hopefully that one can actually do the job (will buy 2 in case). Skip this Avanti Pro. It’s not pro, it’s junk.
