A:Â Hi Allan,
Thank you for your question. The best blade for cutting fiber cement is Diablo part # D0704DH. Hope this helps.

A:Â I have not tried it on cement siding but it would probably work well since it is a Carbide tipped 24 tooth saw blade!

A:Â Will cut through it but will dull rather quickly and a lot of dust. Buy a special blade meant to cut through Hardie Board Cement siding.

A:Â Wood blade for wood and metal blade for metal with the circular saw... I would use a sawzall to cut thru wood with nails.... And if you try it with the circular saw, make sure to wear proper protective equipment like glasses, gloves, long sleeves and heavy denim...
I accidentally cut through wire fencing that I was framing for a decorative look to my pool deck and in an instant, it hit part of that wire and ripped a small piece away and when it hit my face it burned my skin close to my eye... I learned the hard way...

A:Â It's best if you don't cut ANY nails with your saw blade.
I have an old "throw away" blade for situations where you might cut any nails or metal in general.

A:Â Yes but it dulls the blade quicker than most blades

A:Â Will dull the carbide quickly but will cut through it. Be aware of the pieces of metal flying red hot. Wear eye protection as a minimum

A:Â This blade is not made to cut metal, running into nails while cutting wood could damage the blade; generally it will knock off the carbide tips.

Good blade for abusive use
I sandwiched both of these blades on a cheap Black & Decker 7-1/4" circular saw. I needed to widen the gap on deck boards that were spaced too tight and loaded with years of organic matter. Dirt, rotted leaves, pollen, moss, dog poop, etc, causing the deck not to drain. Can't find wider kerf blades anymore. So stacking these on the saw gave me a decent gap I was looking for. Sawing through that junk I needed something cheap that I could abuse. Went through 4 blades in all for a 400 sq ft deck.

I bought these because they were cheap. I use them to cut up pallets for burning. 1 blade lasted about 20 pallets worth. Not bad. They did have a hard time with oak.

Blade cuts easily, turns wood blue
These are really good rough-cut blades. They cut fast and pretty smoothly. The blue blade design comes off on the cut wood edge for quite some time after the first use, but that's probably not a problem for rough cuts anyway. I used my blade to make a desktop, and it cut a nice, smooth line on 5/8" plywood. It cuts like a hot knife through butter, so I really like it for cutting 2x4's. It makes my projects go faster. I also use it to cut small branches into slices to make Christmas ornaments, which is where the blue paint issue becomes a problem. Overall it's a good saw blade for the money and I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone.

Good
Good price for general purpose saw blades. Makes good clean cuts on stubs. No data on how long they will stay sharp.
