How does this paint work for a house that has been occupied by a smoker. Nicotine walls and smell? Will this cover and seal in the walls from smoke?
Asked by: Dan
To seal nicotine and tar on walls an oil-based or shellac based primer must be used. A water-based primer will not stop the stain from coming through your topcoat

Bathroom - removed wallpaper and covered walls with joint compound / sanded and smoothed out. Is this the correct primer sealer to use for joint compound covered walls?
Asked by: Rose
The joint compound will absorb so be sure you buy extra but as long as you’re not using a high gloss finish on top of this then this is the correct primer for you if you are using Behr paint. Be sure and have it tinted gray if you are doing a dark color of paint for faster coverage.

Can you use this primer before hanging up wallpaper

Can you use this primer before hanging up wallpaper
Asked by: DIY
Hi DIY, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we're unable to recommend this primer under wallpaper. Our All-In-One Primer & Sealer has not been tested for this kind of use, so we're unable guarantee the results. You may want to reach out to the company that makes the wallpaper sizing you plan on using to see if their product will adhere properly to a water-based primer or if they have a specific product they can recommend for your project. Can I use this on to prime and seal MDF?

Can I use this on to prime and seal MDF?
Asked by: Jill
While I'm sure this may be a great product to use. I would buy the 1-2-3 Bull-eye's from Home Depot. This product has tannin blockers in it I'm not sure if the Behr primer, sealer does. I may have missed it on their label but you may read it again to be sure. Plus! You should do a light sanding between coats of which ever primer you use. The MDF will grain raise on you giving you a "fuzzy" look. Two (2) coats should work but apply 3 to be safe. This way you stop any "bleed" through of the MDF resin. Double check the Behr primer. If it doesn't have tannin block then buy the Bull-eye's.
