Hi SanHoJo - Thanks for your question! We recommend priming metal, asphalt and wood surfaces with something like our Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer before applying our Multi-Surface Roof Paint. Best - Sara
Hi Teri, thank you for writing in with your question. Our Multi-Surface Roof Paint can be color matched at your local store. If you're looking for a light color, the white base should work for your custom mix. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna
Hi Sandy, Thank you for writing in. Metal, asphalt, and wood surfaces should be primed with something like Behr Multi-Surface Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer No. 436. As it turns out, we cannot recommend our coatings for lead-based surfaces. Behr Multi-Surface Roof Paint can be applied to unglazed/clay tiles. I hope this information was helpful. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have. Best of luck with your project! ~Doris
I just used a spray primer on the spots that were down to the aluminum metal, and rolled four coats of this Behr paint over the whole roof. (Two coats were required to cover everything so it was consistent in color.) This paint is BRIGHT white - get the paint tinted to match the body of your camper first (see my review), not as an afterthought as I did. There is no formula to match, so it will be just a guess by the employee.
Hi Jc, thanks for writing in with your question. That is correct- the color is White Reflective No. 65. Have a great day! -Giovanna
Hi Jc - Thank you for your questions! Our Roof Paint is a completely opaque finish so the color of your roof will change. This product will typically cover in 1-2 coats on a previously primed surface as well. Best - Sara
No. This is paint; white reflects heat, dark colors absorb heat. No other magic in this stuff that I know of.
Not to my knowledge. It is "reflective" in the sense of heat, due to its white color, not reflective of light (as you desire it to be).
Hi Painter, Thank you for your questions. Our Multi-Surface Roof Paint does come in both 1 and 5-gallon containers. The light reflective value (LRV) for this product is 91 or higher. Best - Sara
