Q:Can this be used to paint a composite closet door? If so, does it need a primer?
by|Aug 21, 2024

Answer This Question

A:  Hi William, thank you for your question. Priming is recommended on all surfaces. You can use the Kitchen, Bath and Trim Primer and Sealer No. 75. However, if the surface is glossy and not easy for the primer to adhere, then we recommend using the Bonding Primer No. 432. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

Wished I bought a quart size as really didn’t need gallon size. I must have an old batch because the paint was a little thicker than the quart I picked up a few days later. Gallon can had a film that must have been mixed in when the color was added which caused lumps in the paint when ready to paint. Pulled out what I could. Used tooth pick to remove the skim paint chunks and bristles from the paint brush. Job took longer but end result of the doors turned out well all things considered.

After drying the door looked new. Paint is great but it smells for a few days.
