It was easy to use and got the job done well. I didn’t have to use it for long at all, but once it evenly held the paint it was awesome.

Better than the paint stick trick
I have used the old "pad taped or glued to a paint stick" trick to paint behind a toilet or other tight space, so I was looking forward to seeing how this Behr tight space painting pad worked.
First, its dimensions...the pad measured 3.5 x 5 inches, which I think is a little different than the other brands that are 3.75 x 4.75 so I'm not sure they are interchangeable. I didn't have any others to try.
The handle or stick part measures about 8.25 inches long. It is plastic and fairly firm, but does bend a little if need be. It's easy enough to use, just load the pad with your paint and slip it into the tight space. It doesn't come out looking like a million bucks, but what do you want for behind a toilet, for instance.
The bottom line is that this product offers one way to get your paint into tight areas. It will get the job done, so give it a try.
This tight space painter pad with handle is great for tight spaces. The handle is a bit short. The pad is a good size for enough paint to cover a small section at a time. The pad was somewhat easy to clean but using refills would be a lot easier. The pad is a little difficult to remove to replace and clean. Otherwise it is a good produce for the price.
I do home remodel for a living so I’m always looking for ways to do things faster. Especially when it comes to painting sometimes I need to hurry. This tool worked OK but if I’m being honest I don’t think I will try using it again unless it’s a very tight fit. It is flexible so I was able to reach behind some machines in a room and a toilet. The only thing that kind of bugged me was to get paint on it I had to tap it flat down. And when I used it it left streak marks that I had to coat again. Maybe the bristles on it should be a little longer. I’m not saying it’s a bad tool but for a guy like me that does this for a living I don’t think it would be any more practical than a brush. Cleaning it was pretty simple and I was surprised how much paint it actually absorbed when I was washing it out is when I noticed. It’s actually made good. I think this type of product is more suitable for like a homeowner that doesn’t paint a lot trying to avoid getting paint everywhere. When applying it does apply evenly. But I thought also like it ran out of paint fast. Like I said the tool is good it’s just as a daily use I don’t think I would use it for practical reasons.
No more unpainted space behind the toilet! This paint brush is 12 inches long. The handle is 1.375 inches wide at its widest point. And the brush is 4.75 inches wide by 3.5 inches long. The handle has a slight curve that is 1 inch at the highest point. The handle is flexible. The painter can be flattened to 7/16 of an inch, so you need a minimum of 1/2 inch of room to paint. The pad loads up well and distributes the paint evenly. The pad is replaceable with the Behr Edger Refill pads.
The handle is comfortable and bends with the right amount of stiffness to have control and still be able to reach at odd angles. The pad is the same one that attaches to the Behr edger so it’s nice to have two products that use the pad. This adds to the flexibility. The pad cleans and dries easily. I think this type of applicator does the best job on smooth surfaces. But I used it on knockdown drywall surface, and it was fine. I also used it to get into the corners of a bookcase I was painting, and it filled the corner but also added paint to the 45-degree edge. Was fine for my situation but this is probably not the best tool for cutting in at the ceiling for example. BEHR 5 in. Tight Space Painter for Hard to Reach Places
To paint in hard to reach areas such as behind a toilet tank or along stair stringers I usually just find a long handle paint brush and use the side of the brush to wipe paint in the hard to reach area. This long reach painting pad is such a better idea. It gets into those tight spots much much better and faster and gives a much better finish job then the side of a paint brush. The replaceable painting pad is great and the whole assembly is easy to clean. I will definitely be using this much more.
This is a nice paint applicator. It fits in small areas like behind toilets, along door trim and baseboards. You have only put on a small amount of paint and it applies the paint very easily. The pad cleans up easily and comes off the handle quickly to be cleaned. The pad can be used for paint ( water base or oil ) or stain just use the proper cleaning for the covering you are using.
The BEHR 5 in. Tight Space Painter for Hard to Reach Places is an excellent solution for common painting problems. I have been painting interior walls for 60 years, and have frequently had to contend with painting behind toilets, radiators, and other spaces in which a roller, even a very skinny roller, or a long-handled brush, simply cannot fit. It also provides a solution for working between narrow wall areas, perhaps on the sides of mouldings or windows. I have also used pads, but this is a very clever improvement and well-designed tool. Its long but very slim handle allows access to spaces that cannot be reached by virtually any other means. It is a definite time saver, and its pad holds a really decent amount of paint. This is a definite and permanent addition to my set of painting tools.
Behr Tight Space Painter is literally a life saver for the hard to reach places. Its flexible arm prevents scratching the surface and will fit into the hard to reach tight spaces. It comes fitted with a pad that is reusable with refills. The pad measures 3.5" x 5" and the handle is 8" long. Being in the process of painting my bathroom, I started wondering how to reach behind the toilet. Now this Behr Tight Space Painter came to my rescue and I am just as happy. I recommend this tool to anyone.
