We bought 3 gallons of this and love it!! I can't do the rebate online??? I'm starting to get very frustrated about this! Can I go ahead and mail it in or is it too late now? Thank you Nancy S. King
Asked by: scarlett
I searched for Home Depot rebate center and found the 11% rebate. It had to have been purchased between the dates stated. Very easy to fill out. Hope this helps

Why are 5 gallon medium base satin not in stock in any stores?

Need 15 gallons satin (Gothan Gray) and would have to buy in 1 gallon. Must not want to sell to people wanting to paint the complete exterior of a medium sized home.
Asked by: Handyman
This is a question we struggle with with many of our 5 gallon paints, and it is a multifaceted problem. First, buckets require much more space than single gallons, so we can't stock everything we have in gallons also into 5 gallons. Second, most every paint has 3 bases: white, medium, and deep, which allows us to create the colors requested of light, medium, and dark colors, but this further complicates the space problem to stock everything in 5 gallons. We usually find more limitations with the darker colors that require deeper bases. Third, it is a cost vs. sales issues about what to stock, always a struggle and definitely arguable, but that is just the reality of retail. Usually there will be at least 1 store in the vicinity that will stock most hard-to-find items, but its not always the case, especially depending on your location. But, ordering online is always an option, although there will be longer lead time, so a bit of planning will go a long way for larger projects. Hope this helps you understand, and see you in the aisles.

Can this exterior satin Behr Marquee be used to paint a fence? Or would a specialized paint for decks/fences be a better choice (price aside)?
Asked by: Ben
Hi Ben, Thanks for writing in with your question. You can certainly use Marquee Exterior Paint for your fence. It is a durable coating with the best fade and dirt resistance. The satin sheen will provide a glossy finish, while stains for decks and fences are mostly flat and allow you to see the texture (and sometimes grain) of the wood. Good luck with your project! Can this paint be used on cabinets

Asked by: Cocoo
Hello Cocoo, Thanks for writing in. Exterior coatings are not suitable for interior applications and should not be used. Interior coatings typically dry to a harder finish making them easier to withstand routine cleaning and scrubbing. While an exterior product is a strong coating, it is not made to resist this type of washing and can lead to early discoloration. I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Best, Roxana N.

Customer Reviews

1-gal. #UL110-16 Bijou Red Satin Enamel Exterior Paint is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 801.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very noticeable fading after one year Have been a satisfied Behr customer for years until now. Had our local Home depot mix up Behr Marquee satin exterior paint...this is the best Behr paint Home Depot sales. After less than one year we noticed the paint was severely fading and was a different color on the side of the house that gets the most sun. We do live in AZ and the sun is intense, but at almost fifty dollars a gallon I expected better results.I did complain to Home Depot and they said this was Behrs best paint and it should not have done that...maybe we got a bat batch. I purchased two more gallons and painted that side of the house again. Will reevaluate next winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Paint This is the easiest paint I have ever applied. I do not know the lasting quality it claims yet, but it is the easiest paint to apply evenly and consistently. I only need one coat to have a beautiful appearance on my front entry door, although I did apply another coat since there was so much paint left. The paint does dry fast. After several hour drying, the paint actually did not stick to the door seals. I had bad experince with other types of paint, with the resulting smearing around the edge of the door for pressing against the seals. If it does perform on the resistance to fading and dirt as it claimed, then this may be the best paint I ever use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Runny This was my second trial of using the Marquee line of Behr paints. The first time the paint was very thin like the cheapest paint you could find to buy. This time was no different. The Marquee paint is just a little bit thicker than water. Coverage is not like Behr says. I brush painted on white painted wood with this white paint. After 2 coats you could still faintly notice the original white color of the painted fascia. Dip your brush 1/2 inch into the paint and wait 5 minutes for it to stop dripping. I paint houses and this paint is junk for the money. It does dry well and is adhesive but it is not a top of the line quality paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Paint I've Ever Used Behr Marquee is absolutely phenomenal. The paint goes on well and flows like an oil base. Brush strokes blend smoothly. The paint covers well and I've been able to successfully lay down only one coat most times. This paint sheds dirt like no other. I don't know what's in it, but dirt just wipes off. This paint is expensive, but considering that much of a paint job is the cost of labor, this paint actually saves me money. It takes less time to apply the paint and there's less damage when cleaning. The durability is good and the paint looks great! I highly recommend using Behr Marquee Exterior Enamel! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service Many years ago I used Behr exterior paint with nano guard. We had a concern with it. I contacted Behr with my concern and they handled it quit timely. The customer support was just that "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" They took care of the concern we had. Our latest project was to paint the exterior of our home, we used Marquee satin exterior. Wow what a great paint this is. After mowing and all of the dust that settles into the crevices of a stucco home it will just blow away with a leaf blower or I will use a water hose. This makes our home look Like it's been freshly painted at all times. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice finish quality but some issues The finish quality of this paint and ease of application are excellent; the down side is that the color - jet white - is slightly creamy/pinky in color so the paint does not exactly match either aluminum or white vinyl trim on some homes (unlike another brand I am used to using). As the paint dries some of the color difference disappears. Not recommended for indoor use - this paint has a strong ammonia odor to it during application. I recommend that the user test a sample of it on his home to make sure he will be pleased with the results. I own multiple properties and have found that there are other brands of exterior paint that do not have these drawbacks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this product on all my exterior paint jobs, I wont use any other product for exterior paint... I use this product on all my exterior paint jobs, I wont use any other product for exterior painting and I recommend this paint to all my owners. This paint is the best it gets, there is no other paint made better. The paint is thick which you know is quality paint not watered down like most your other paints. I have been using paint products for years and all the homes I have painted never have problems even going as far back as 15 years ago. This paint goes above all my expectations. Yes, it is a little pricey but you pay for what you get. It is worth every penny. Best product ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST PAINT EVER I'm a painting contractor and have used and tried every paint on the market. I love this paint!!! The paint consistency is thick if spraying needs to be strained and thinned down some. It did not change the properties I was worried about losing with that process. I do however prefer to brush and roll. The finish is flawless with no flashing marks. I painted homes in same neighborhood next door to each other with over eight months time lapsed and they all still look like they day they were finished. No fading or damage is apparent going on two years ago. Comes off the roller smooth and is thick do not leave in sunlight it will thicken. I will never go back to any other paint. Sure not to disappoint.
