A: Hi Janice, thanks for the question. Yes, the Marquee paint in Secluded woods will cover over a dark stain. Since it isn't a One-Coat color two coats of paint may be needed. Also if there is a sheen on the surface of the wood stain, you will want to scuff-sand it first before painting. Good luck with your project! -Ronald

A: Hello linda, We appreciate your question. By pre-treated, I assume you mean that it's uncoated but pressure treated wood. Yes, it's okay to apply our paint to the fence posts. We would recommend waiting until the wood is completely dry so that the injected chemicals air out (typically 6-8 weeks, but please check with the wood manufacturer or vendor for the exact time needed). Then, we'd recommend prepping the surface with our No. 63 Wood Cleaner. Well wishes for your project!
