Q:I started with Behr Ultra Swiss Coffee eggshell and want to finish with Marquee Swiss Coffee eggs...

Answer This Question

A:  Hi JamesNYC. Thanks for writing in with your question. Although the color shouldn't change significantly between the two different products, different containers of the same color can still vary just slightly. I recommend testing the new container first to see if blends well with the paint you already started with. Then, if needed, recoating the entire surface with the new container to ensure the color is uniform across the surface. Have a nice day! -Joni

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Ell, thanks for writing in with your question. Each gallon of Marquee Paint covers between 250-400 sq. ft. depending on the texture and porosity of the surface. New drywall will be porous, so it can take about 30 gallons to spray the first coat. The second coat will not be absorbed like the first coat, and can take about 19 gallons, totaling 49 gallons. Be sure to box the paint to ensure color uniformity. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

Hi JARED - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get one coat coverage with our Marquee paint. This product is guaranteed to cover your previously painted or primed surfaces in one coat when tinted to a color from our One-Coat Color Collection. Colors outside of this collection may require additional coats for full coverage. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can assist you with your project. We hope to hear from you! - Sara Behr

        Not One Coat
Used this paint in our new home and I absolutely love the colors BUT it took two coats to get full coverage. For the light/white color, it took two coats on top of a coat of primer. For the price point, theres no reason this should he happened. I wont be buying this again.

Hi Elizabeth - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you needed to apply two coats for full coverage! Our Marquee Interior paint line was designed to cover your previously painted or primed surfaces in one coat when tinted to a color from our One-Coat Color Collection, and I'm concerned that you needed to apply an additional coat. We'd like to learn more about your project and assist you with this. Please feel free to reach out to us directly - we hope to hear from you! - Sara Behr
