About This Product

BEHR Multi-Purpose is a premium siliconized acrylic grade caulk designed for use on a wide variety of interior and exterior applications, including, but not limited to, trim, crown molding, baseboards, vents, doors and windows. It adheres to common building materials such as drywall, plaster, concrete, stucco, masonry, brick, fiber cement, wood, composites, metal, vinyl, stone and painted surfaces. Not intended for below-grade or water immersion applications.

            I've seen it mentioned that this caulk is GreenGuard Gold certified, but I don't see it on the tube. How do I prove this to my client?

              Can you mix this caulk with Behr cabinet, door & trim enamel and then apply? If put under final paint coat worried it will self level and dry funky since the paint is very watery when thinned out for the sprayer

              Hi Lauren, thank you for your question. As it turns out, we do not recommend intermixing any caulking with our paint, as it has not been tested to see how it will perform. I would recommend contacting the caulk manufacturer to see if it can be coated with a water-based coating; if so, you should be ok.                   Cracked within 2 hours of application
                  Bought this for a board and batten project. The color was good, the flow was consistent, it was easy to work with, but within 2 hours of applying this caulk, a quarter of the beads had cracked. I had to scrape those and recaulk which added about 3 hours to the project.

                    Flows well, easy to tool, but doesn't dry well
                    Good: Thick enough that you have to apply some pressure with the gun to get it out of the tube. Makes it easier to control and run a thin bead; reduces waste when tooling. Thick and sticky enough that it also tends to stay put where you apply the bead. Bad: The reason it won't become my go-to is that even application does not result in even coverage. As it dries, it pulls away from itself, creating holes that require touch-ups afterward. I haven't had this problem with other caulks.

                      Great sealer
                      The BEHR MULTI- PURPOSE WHITE SILICONE ACRYLIC CAULK is very easy to use,it flows very nice, stays flexible making it easy to spread, and it is easy clean up with soap and water. The acrylic caulk works great for filling up wide gaps, and also small gaps to make an air tight seal. The acrylic caulk is good for the professional, but also the basic homeowner.

                      goes on smooth with little shrinkage
                      I used this to caulk trim in my bedroom. It went on very smoothly and filled the nail holes, cracks, and seams. It was paintable in 30 minutes. It was easy to use and almost flawless after application. This product seemed to apply somewhat easier and cleanup with less effort than some other caulking brands which I have used. I will definitely use again on other trim jobs.

                      good coverage
                      This Behr siliconized caulk has a very good constancy, non runny and fills in gaps well. the Pure White color a plus for trim work . can be painted after 30 minute. found we only need one application to fill in the gap were the two pieces of trim met. (Behr caulk is firm easy flow not a runny like some other brands ). we are old school and use are finger to smooth out the bead . cleans up easy off are painted wall .just wipe off with a rag. we did need to use soap and water to clean it off are finger and hand . (only wish the plastic tub would of come with a seal cap after you open it for storage ) if we could give this caulk a higher mark we would .

                      Great Caulk for Almost Any Surface
                      This new multi-purpose caulk from Behr is easy to use and will work on almost any surface. It has the Behr name on it which promises quality and it carries a lifetime warranty. I tried it in my kitchen where the maple butcher block counter top meets the marble tile backsplash, and it went on smoothly. It was also easy to clean up with water. If you need to paint, you can paint this caulk after only 30 minutes.

                      Looks and works great
                      I’ve used lots of BEHR paint but this is the first time using caulking made by them. I expected it to look and work great, and I was not disappointed. Doing some touch-ups in the kitchen area and needed some caulk just to refresh some old stuff that was used a while ago. The BEHR caulk went on smooth and had no trouble in my caulk gun. I’ll definitely be using this on some other projects soon!

                      The more I use BEHR products and see their high quality, it's a brand I trust and use. When applying it is very smooth and easy to use and gives a solid fill. This siliconized acrylic caulk is for both interior and exterior use and adheres to many materials, so can be used for multiple uses. It is easy to clean up with water and is ready to paint on in 30 minutes.
