Use a paint stripper to remove loose or peeling paint

Q:i seen where a soft bristled brush works good to apply this stain. seems as it wouldn't be as messy as sprayer and better coverage than a roller. will this work?

Q:Greetings - I have to reseal the concrete apron on my driveway and front walk. The concrete needs to be stained too. I was thinking Behr's concrete stain and then sealing over it with the Vital Coat V-200 you sell. Is this plan appropriate? Thanks!

peeling after 3 months
Followed instructions step by step (new concrete) and within 3 months it was peeling badly.

To fix the issue, I recommend removing the loose coating and etching any bare concrete that feels smoother than 150-grit sandpaper. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before priming the areas with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer. Then, touch up the stain and apply a thin coat if needed for uniformity. Stain concrete, don't paint it.
I am extremely pleased with results. Easy to apply after doing the proper steps; etch and clean, plus the Behr primer. Appears it will hold up for a long time and stain is the way to go for concrete vs. paint.

SILVER/GRAY
I like the stain and highly recommend. However, some of the colors are not exactly like the color in the book. The silver/gray looks more blue than silver or gray so I had to redo my patio.
I changed the color to Washed Khaki and very happy with my decision.
I can't say if it will last long since I did my patio with both stains within a few weeks but if it only last 6 months I would be ok.

Was not happy with the product. Application is more like putting on a paint. Next time I will stick to acid stain.

This paint was recommended to me by a good friend who is in the pool maintenance business about 13 or 14 years ago. I used the product on my old cool deck and 8 years later it still looked great. I moved late last year and resorted to this product once again for the pool deck at my current house. 2 coats does the trick, extremely pleased.
