Hi KenWood, thank you for your question. It's optional to sand between coats when using Behr Urethane Alkyd Enamel. If you decide to sand, we recommend doing a light sand with 320-400 grit sandpaper. Additionally, priming is recommended over all properly prepared coated or uncoated surfaces. Have a great day! -Alex
Hi Cecilio, thanks for your question. We do not recommend applying our Urethane Alkyd paint on a restaurant cooler, as we have not tested this. Enjoy the rest of your day! -Christina
Hi donnie, thanks for your question. We do not recommend using our Urethane Alkyd Enamel paint on a boat as it's not designed for constant contact with water. Have a great day! -Christina
Hi there, thanks for the question. Our Urethane Alkyd Enamel can be used for painting the exterior of the fireplace, as long as the surface temperature doesn't exceed 140 degrees. Temperatures higher than that could cause the coating to fail prematurely. Have a great day! -Ronald
Hi Jeff, thank you for your question. We do not recommend our Alkyd Paint on vinyl siding. Have a great day! -Giovanna
Hi Russ, thank you for your question. Typically, you can clean surfaces with soap and water before priming or painting. However, I suggest checking with your local store for a recommendation on a cleaner to use for your specific project. Have a great day! -Giovanna
To prep your fiberglass door for painting with Bonding Primer, you'll want to clean the surface thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion. A mild detergent solution (like dish soap and water) is usually sufficient for cleaning. After washing, rinse the door with clean water and allow it to dry completely before applying the primer.
Hi TDow, thanks for the question. We don't recommend using our products on foam substrates such as polystyrene. If you have additional questions about your project, please reach out to us directly. Our customer care team is happy to help. -Ronald
Hi Rebecca, thanks for the question. Our Urethane Alkyd Enamel is a great choice to use on an exterior door frame. If the existing paint is glossy, I'd recommend scuff-sanding it first to ensure the adhesion of the paint. If you have additional questions about your project, please reach out to us directly. Our customer care team is happy to help. -Ronald
