Hi Nade, thanks for your question. While our Porch & Patio Floor Paint does not provide a waterproof finish, it is weather-resistant and can be used on exterior wood projects. Have a great day! -Christina
Hi Kevin, thank you for your question. Yes, the surface will need to be primed before applying our Porch & Patio Floor Paint. For wood surfaces, we recommend priming the floor with our Multi-Surface Primer (No. 436). For concrete surfaces, we recommend priming the floor with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer (No. 880). Have a great day! -Lina
Hi Wolf, thank you for your question. The Porch and Patio Floor Paint should be dry and able to recoat in 4 hours, walked on after 24-72 hours, and can take up to 4 weeks to fully cure. Have a great day! - Randy
Hi Elliott. Thank you for your question. We don't recommend mixing different products together as this can affect the longevity and durability of the products. So the coating most likely won't hold up as expected. It's best to only mix the same product in the same color. Have a nice day! -Joni
Hi Rick. Thank you for your question. As it turns out, our Porch & Patio Floor Paint isn't recommended for drivable surfaces like a driveway. Instead, I suggest using our Concrete & Garage 1-Part Epoxy. It has a similar solid color look and protects against hot-tire pick-up, automotive fluids, and most household chemicals. Have a nice day! -Joni
The paint is labeled as "floor" paint to define its scuff and wear resistance. There is nothing that would prevent its being used on a wall. In fact, I have also applied it to my deck table and grill table due to the fact that all of the surfaces are getting old and do not look very good anymore with a simple stain and sealer. The opaque paint brings a fresh look to them.
I put it on my wood deck so I would think it would be great on a wood wall too.
Hi BOBALO - Thank you for your question. Our Porch & Patio Floor Paint can be applied to wood walls. We recommend making sure the wood is clean, dry, free of any loose wood fibers or fuzz, and primed with our Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer before painting. Best - Sara
Hi Colorado, Porch & Patio Floor Paint has been tested in various climate conditions and performs excellently in cold weather. As long as the paint is applied and dries within the recommended temperature range (50-90F), it'll stay put. Please feel free to contact Behr directly with any additional questions you may have. ~Doris
It is self-sealing. I use a brush pushed into the end of a long piece of hollow PVC pipe so I can stand to apply it. The brush application allows me to stand and not have to put my old knees on the hard surface while permitting me to force the paint into the grain and weathered cracks. I do not know just what the "watermarks" you are referring to, but I have seen some lifting on my deck rail due to bad surface prep that was my fault. Thorough drying of the new paint for at least 24 hours is essential before rain hits it. Direct sun baking will speed up that process.
Hi HH, Porch & Patio Floor Paint can be topcoated with Behr Low-Lustre or Wet-Look Sealer. Please feel free to contact Behr directly with any additional questions you might have. ~Doris
