Q:Will the surface be slippery when wet? Or should we add some other product over stain?

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kathi - thanks for your question. Yes, all coated surface can become slippery when wet. As it turns out, we do not have any products that can be added to our semi-transparent stains to provide slip-resistance; if you need something with slip-resistance, it's best to use our Anti-Slip Porch & Patio Floor Paint instead. Have a great day! -Christina

Q:I have pressure treated wood and cedar posts for a shed that I want to stain with russet brown. The wood got wet in heavy rain for one hour today. How long do I have to wait to stain the wood?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Sher - Thanks for your question. It's best to let your wood dry for 24-48 hours before staining to ensure moisture from the wood does not get trapped underneath the coating. Have a great day! -Christina

Easy stain to apply, but very thin
BEHR PREMIUM 1 qt. #ST-134 Curry stain arrived earlier than predicted and was packaged very well with top and bottom plastic retainers on the can. It was easy to apply with a brush but required two coats for satisfactory coverage. I used it to stain a yard swing that was made of well seasoned, treated pine lumber. Before and after photos shows the result. My only complaint was that the actual color was very different from the image on Home Depot's website.

            The color was perfect
The paint was true to color, be sure to shake it up or stir really good. The reddish pigment settles to the bottom and I read a few reviews that stayed the color was orange.

OMG!! I LOVE this color. Me and hubby just finished staining our fence.. and Lawwwwwd this color is it! It’s a rich deep dark chocolate brown color which is EXACTLY what I wanted. Don’t know how it’s going to hold up yet. Only time will tell. But as of now I’m VERY PLEASED!!

Looks great on our new cedar fence. Shows the natural woodgrain pattern and provides protection against the elements.

Stain covers well. Color looks good. This is our first time using thus product, so we are optomistic that it will last the claimed 8yrs. Reason for 4 out of 5 is the trouble spraying. The stain dries gets a skin/buildup easily and has lots of sediment. Even after 2 pours thru 3 filters, it still caused loss of prime and many clogs while spraying 140+ pickets. Very frustrating and time consuming. For reference, we use a Graco X5 sprayer with 311 tip as recommended by Graco. Switched to 510 tip to finish job.

Outstanding and not just saying that... I used on my personal home 9 years ago and restained this past summer, the color pigment was still so good I had a challenge to see where I stopped each day...could only tell that the sheen was gone not color.

Easy application. Beautiful color as I expected. The square feet estimate was pretty close to accurate.
