Color is way off
Disappointed in the color. It is not a natural cedar color. Color is very orange and continues to turn more orange during the curing process. Unless you want your deck resembling an Oompa Loompa, I would steer away from this color. The product does its job of protecting.

Semi-Transparent stains are influenced by the original color and tone of the wood surface, which can impact the color. In this case, it may be best to remove the stain by stripping or sanding before recoating with a new color that will provide your desired look. Alternatively, to fix the issue without removing the stain, you can coat over it with a Solid Stain. That will provide an opaque finish in the color you select. Worked Very Well
Powerwashed and bleached old cedar fence which removed 99% of old worn out stain to bare wood. I also rotary sanded with 150 grit. I had about 120 sq feet. I had to brush it on and took about 1.5 to 1.75 hours per 60 sq ft because wood was rough and had normal wood imperfections for the first coat. Second application was about 1 hour each 60 sq ft. Went on like butter on bread. I only used about 80% of the stain for two coats. I'll see how it holds up using Behr Premium. Old stain was Behr.

Great solid stain (paint). I used it to restain/paint the kid's playset and it worked great at that. I did only one heavy coat which was enough to bring the playset back to life and cover the weathered cedar it is made of. This paint is durable as well.

Color not as advertised.
The color is way off. Very ORANGE with a MUSTARD tone. Beyond disappointed and I want my $50 back.

Color
My fence is six years old and I had used Behr clear twice over the years which brought out the wood tones. This year I went with a semi transparent cedar tone. Horrible. Hopefully nature will bring back the more natural wood tones in about 3 years. Either use clear without color for natural wood tones or solid which covers all the natural wood tones but I will never use semi transparent ever again. Horrible! Plus it looks orange not cedar color in my opinion.

Am hooked on Behr but last time we used another brand on our deck because my husband's friend recommended it but here we are, less than 2 years later, repainting. Is thinner than regular Behr paint but covered beautifully and easily and looks great.

Extremely Disappointed
Regret buying this because there's nothing "natural" looking about it. Applied 2 coats to sanded deck boards, and it is a deep, almost neon orange color. Will now have to redo this project, and will have a hard time trusting other Behr stain color samples.

You have the option of using a Solid Color over the Semi-Transparent Stain in a new color. However, this won't show any of the wood grain. Not bad but more orange than expected
As many reviews have said, the color (Cedar Naturaltone semi-transparent) had more of an orange tone than expected. I used it on our cedar patio furniture after sanding it down with 80 grit to remove the year of weathering. It went on pretty easily with a roller, touched up the edges and hard to reach area with a brush. I did not apply a second coat since it was already darker than I expected - hiding some of the grain and knots. Overall, I’ll use the product again but swap colors.

Dried very uneven. Some places dark, other areas light. Especially in areas where you had to cut in using a brush. We used foam applicator, foam roller, regular roller, brush, and foam brush nothing worked. I had used this product several years ago, and it worked very well. Needless to say I am very disappointed.
