Q:Is there any danger for a baby licking on this chalkboard paint? I painted a very thin piece of plywood (37" � 30" � ?" thick) with it. Babies and toddlers tend to lick on surfaces.

Watery paint, poor coverage
I bought a can of Behr Chalk paint in aerosol for a furniture refinishing project. Compared to Valspar, this paint is very watery and thin. Unfortunately HD doesn’t carry any other brands. Coverage is poor. It barely covered my side tables and ran out very quickly so I didn’t get to finish my project. It even said on the instructions that you need two coats. I’ll be buying Valspar instead to finish my project.

Expensive, but works fine
My wife used this for refinishing several pieces of furniture. The paint covers very well and dries quickly. The only complaint is the price. The cost of this for a few ounces of paint is ridiculous, but I guess in some cases you get what you pay for.

Great Spray Paint - Noir Chalk
Just purchased 3 cans of Behr Noir to paint a 16 yr old 60 inch aluminum table that had faded to a chalky gray in lieu of buying a new table. The Noir paint was a perfect match to the new patio charcoal dining chair frames. The spray paint went on flawlessly and dried quickly between two coats applied. The finished product looked like a new table!

Worst spray paint I’ve used!
I don’t ever really leave reviews, but had to on this, maybe it’ll help someone else! Paint comes out super blotchy, put 2/3 coats hoping it would level out, and since I was working on tabletop outside thought it might be a glare, but it wasn’t! Very disappointed that I’ll have to fix this problem!

Very nice matte finish for restoring an old planter made of resin. The paint applies very nicely and evenly. No runs or drips with the flat finish. It is not chalky either. Very happy with a new spray paint option from Behr.

I do not recommend
The only thing good about this product is the color. I Definitely do not recommend it! Used it twice on two different pieces of furniture. Both pieces were wiped clean, primed and left overnight to dry before spraying with the behr chalk spray paint. Each time after spraying the chalk paint, it began to bubble and wrinkle up (see picture). I have always used rustoleum chalk spray paint and decided to us the behr spray chalk paint because of the price difference. I will definitely pay the extra few dollars and go back to using rustoleum chalk spray paint. I have found rustoleum to be a much better product than the behr.

Amazing but awful smell
We’ve been using the quart Behr chalk paint and wanted to try this to save some money on a smaller piece. The coverage is amazing. We used noir. However I made a rookie mistake and did it indoors thinking it couldn’t smell worse than normal spray paint and the quart has barely any smell. I was wrong. The smell is so strong and lingers for a long time. Definitely spray outdoors! But I would use it over and over again!
