              Is it slippery when wet
              ByNov 3, 2025
              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

Hi Brady, thank you for your question. Our Granite Grip provides a slip-resistant finish, but it may get slippery when wet. This is the case with most concrete finishes, as once concrete is coated, it can no longer absorb moisture, and the pooling of water is what causes slipperiness. However, a slip-resistant finish can help reduce that. -Alex

Great Product: Follow instructions/don't take shortcuts
I purchased this product on 2 November 2025 for an outdoor concrete patio (13ft x 9 ft). I cleaned the surface and used a grinder to etch the surface as the instructions outlined. I was able to apply two coats for the entire square footage with two gallons, implying about a 60 square foot coverage. I applied each coat using a brush, as another review recommended. Do this. I followed with a third coat using a roller for a more even final finish. I am very satisfied with the product. I recommend ignoring all of the negative reviews. These people clearly did not read the directions or chose to take short cuts. if you follow the directions, you will be pleased with the results. I applied my coats without direct sun with ambient air temp around 65 degrees Fahrenheit and a slight breeze blowing.

                  BAD - Save your money
This product is not as good as advertised. Don't fall for it. It does stick well but the finished product is very uneven no matter what you do even if you follow all instructions and use the specified roller. The product is too thick for the aggregate to evenly spread so you get horrendous striping and uneven sheen no matter what you do. The claim that this can be applied with a roller is simply false advertising and I will be filing an FTC accordingly. This product can ONLY be applied with a texture sprayer to achieve an even finish. This was hours of work and hundreds of dollars wasted. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

Thank you for your review. I'm terribly sorry to hear about the trouble you went through with the application of your Granite Grip. Your customer experience is important to us, and we want to help turn this around. For the best coverage, pour a 12" strip directly onto the surface from the can. Start from the center and roll out the product in a random direction using an adhesive roller. Use light pressure while spreading the product out in 3x3 sections. The first coat will be blotchy by design, and additional coats will provide uniformity. We value your feedback, and we want you to feel supported. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Lina Behr
                    Fail Product.
Horrible product , did not work for the cost of the gallon extremely horrible. I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND this PRODUCT. The finish was horrible. The application look like crap, and i've been in the industry for more than a decade. Product claims it covers with two coats and it doesn't cover at all.

Hi Gabe77, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear the Granite Grip did not provide the expected coverage. We want our customers to achieve success with their projects, and we're here to help! This product should cover about 50 sq. ft. with two coats per gallon. To fix this, I recommend letting the coating dry for 72 hours to help allow the coats to even out. If that still does not help, I recommend applying another coat using little to no pressure while using an adhesive roller. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; we are always happy to help! -Alex Behr

                      Not for garage floors
Not for Garage floors like it says. You won’t have an evenly applied surface unless you pour it on every square foot because the plastic particles don’t spread out but the resin does. So, wherever you pour it onto the floor is the only place the decorative particles will be. Had to scrape it all up

Hi Brish, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you did not get an even finish. I can understand your disappointment. To help you achieve an even finish, we recommend pouring out a 12" strip directly onto the surface and using an adhesive roller, using little to no pressure to roll the product outwards. Avoid regular patterns and spread the product in small section. Keep in mind that the first coat will not cover well, by design. However, the second coat will provide better coverage. We appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Giovanna Behr

                        Product needs to be better
Went in to get the decorative stain for concrete and the Behr rep recommended this instead. It was awful, coverage is splotchy and he gave me all correct tools needed. The “sand” doesn’t spread evenly, the color is way off, and it takes way more than stated. 1/2 way thru I knew I just had to get the whole thing at least coated with 1 coat. I ended up going back to get the product I originally wanted and applied it over it after 48 hours of drying. Color is not exact but looks way better that with just the granite grip!! $360 later I am ok with it.

Hi KimC, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you experienced applying the Granite Grip. Although it is a unique product, it should not be difficult to apply. We recommend using a 1/4" adhesive roller. The first coat will look blotchy by nature, but the second coat will cover better. Each gallon covers 50 sq. ft. in two coats. We appreciate you sharing your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Great DIY alternative to stamped concrete
Very good Product - Covered per the product spec. You must follow directions including the complete prep work. Dont apply too heavy each coat expecting coverage like paint. Let each coat dry based on can dry time and apply needed additional coats. We only needed two coats. Dont panic on second coat if you see roller marks as the finish coat smooths out and grainuals surface as it dries and cures. Time will tell how it holds up in the weather.

IF YOU THINK YOU NEED 1 GALLON, ORDER 4!!!
AWFUL COVERAGE AND APPLICATION!!! MY FRONT PORCH IS ABOUT 8X12, SO ROUGHLY 100SQFT. IT DAYS THAT 1 GALLON CAN.COVER UP TO 500SQFT. I FIGURED 1 WOULD BE ENOUGH FOR 2 COATS WITH SOME.LEFT OVER, I WAS VERY WRONG. I HAVE USED JUST ABOUT 2 GALLONS SO FAR JUST TO APPLY 1 COAT AND CUT IN TWICE IN SOME AREAS. THIS STUFF IS LIKE.SLUDGE SND DOES NOT SPREAD WHATSOEVER. YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON.REALLY THICK OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE TO DO 4-5 COATS. HAVE NOT FINISHED YET SO I WILL UPDATE WITH END RESULT AFTER I FINISH APPLYING SECOND COAR, I RAN OUT AND HAD TO GET A FOURTH GALLON

Hi Jake, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear you aren't getting the coverage you expected. One gallon of our Granite Grip is enough to apply two full coats to 50 square feet. And while this product requires at least 2 coats, additional coats may be needed for full coverage, depending on the color and porosity of the surface. Ensuring our customers are happy is our top priority, and we are eager to help get your project back on track. Please feel free to reach out to us directly for any additional support. I used 6 gallons but it could have probably used another gallon. Not as dark as what is pictured. My main concern was change of texture and not being slippery when wet and O believe this is good

Product works It was cheaper then other coatings or having a professional do it. I recommend following the can instructions, not You Tube. I installed it over a painted porch. I acid washed and scraped off loose first. Then primer which was like milk. My only other suggestion is plan on three coats. The top final coat roll in one direction only not like you you normally paint a wall, otherwise you wind up with what I have,
