Q:What can I add to Behr Stain and sealer to thin it out. I am staining as fast as I can 2 ramps and 350SQ wood fence but the product has become too thick to apply. I am in a wheelchair and doing it as fast as I can. I am so frustrated, please help.

DIY DECK PROJECT
We just moved into a new home about 6 months ago. After looking at the deck and side porch, I knew one of my first DIY projects was to repair and restain them. I was unclear at first of how I wanted the stain to look (Solid, Semi-Transparent, or Transparent). After detailed research, my wife and I became sold on Behr Premium All-In-One Solid Wood Stain & Sealer (Terra Cotta). After repairing and pressure washing the deck and porch, I applied this stain using a brush, sprayer, and roller. I must tell you, this is the best stain that I have ever seen or used. It was easy to apply and dried quickly. Most importantly, the look is AWESOME and my family could not be more happier. My new neighbors are now looking into restaining their deck using this same brand. Home Depot, you clearly have some satisfied customers.

A protective coat for every project

Loved the choice of colors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were a bit overdue to stain our deck but I went into Home Depot and got the color chart for the stain. We fell in love with Newport Blue. We loved that New England feel the color represented. Our neighbors all have a reddish stain so we wanted to be different. We are thrilled with the results! (we had to hire someone to do it because my husband is not the neatest painters!)

Great product

Looks Great - Works Even Better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the Behr Premium Semi-Transparent waterproofing Stain and Sealer on several projects and have always achieved great results. The latest project was a deck and railing. Prior to that (a couple years ago) I used the product to stain a structure I built around our fire pit. It’s gone through a couple of Montana winters and it still looks great and still repels moisture like it was freshly treated.

Easy to apply
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this product to stain the addition on my house. Rough sawn pine, stained 2 years ago, different color and used the less expensive satin. Did ok, but this stain and sealer went on excellent, semi-transparent looks so good, shows the grain in the wood.
The color slate, really a nice color matches the vinyl siding on the rest of my house. I would definitely recommend this product. Easy clean up.
