A: Hi msvoegtline, thanks for your question. Yes, our Premium Plus Interior Paint can be tinted to a custom color match. Depending on your color, you may need to use the Ultra Pure White Base, Medium Base, or Deep Base of this paint. The paint department at your local Home Depot can help you determine the correct base for your color. Have a great day! -Christina
A: You should be able to tint it.
A: Hi Todd, thank you for your question. Yes, you can use our Premium Plus Paint for your ceiling and ductwork so long as the surface will not get too hot to touch or exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit, as that will cause the coating to fail. Ductwork is typically constructed from galvanized steel and aluminum, so I recommend priming the surface with our Multi-Surface Primer to ensure the paint can properly adhere. To prepare your surface, scuff sand the surface and etch the metal if it is galvanized. Once clean and dry, prime before topcoating the surface with our Premium Plus Paint. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina
A: Hi Mary, thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus Paint line, including the flat interior sheen, is water-based. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina
A: Hi Pamm, thank you for your question. Priming is not necessary, as the first coat of Premium Plus Paint will act as a primer, and additional coats will provide uniformity. However, if you'd like to reduce the number of coats needed, I recommend using a separate primer like our Multi-Surface Primer beforehand. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina
