- Dark Ash is a charcoal with a stable blue undertone. Depending on the light source or time of day, it may appear as a dark gray on the walls.
- Excellent hide; 1 gallon covers up to 400 sq. ft. depending on application, color and surface porosity
- For best application, use a high quality 3/8 in. - 1/2 in. nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (0.015 in. - 0.019 in. spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
- Use BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (2 primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas
- Lock in stains with BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint as a spot primer, for heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint to a small section, if stain bleeds through, spot prime another coat to the stained area and test again before top coating, if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50°F-90°F (10°C-32°C), darker colors may require additional dry time between coats, cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time

Does not adhere, does not cover as advertised , everything was prepped properly and professionally.complete waste of time and money . Will never purchase again ! Home Depot should be ashamed for selling junk ! Should have googled it first, I would have seen all the lawsuits over it ! Should be pulled off the shelf

Our Marquee paint should cover in one coat when tinted to one of the one-coat colors and applied over a previously painted surface. Switching
I have tried to give Behr a couple chance for furniture and wall paint. But even after surface prepping and double coating you literally can take your fingernails and scratch the paint right off the surface. A tiny bump will scratch the paint.

My 1st choice here’s why…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy application that goes on evenly without leaving roller or brush marks. Two coats is all that’s necessary for full coverage. I’ve been doing interior painting for almost 30 years and used all competitor brands and this is my #1 top choice! Not only is application the best but the durability of the finished product rate top notch. Resistant to scuffs, scratches and stains. Very washable.

Behr Ultra Scuff Defense
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our house back in April 2022, the previous owner decided to paint the bathroom in a very cheap way and the old paint was bubbling and pealing away, I took the time to read up on the Behr products and how I could make this room in my house correct, I purchased two different products from Behr, one was a base coat and this one as the top coat. All the products I purchased from Behr were great but this one really impressed me, the ease of use and the coverage was amazing. great product and now I have great protection on my bathroom wall, superior paint to others I have used. Right after I painted the bathroom and it was dry. I hung a few things up on the bathroom wall one fell off with a little help from one of the Grand kids it scuffed the wall as it fell. I took a wet cloth and wiped the wall and it was like magic it was gone. Thank you for making such a great product.

Great for household with kids

I’ve used it in the bathrooms and kitchen and have had no trouble with peeling paint. With 7 children in the house it has made cleaning handprints off easier. Really holds up
