About This Product
BEHR ULTRA® Interior Paint is a versatile Stain-Blocking Paint & Primer with Scuff Defense providing an extra durable finish that is easy to clean and stays looking new longer®. ULTRA is easy to apply with a smooth even finish that has outstanding coverage and hide in fewer coats. This soft eggshell enamel sheen creates a velvety appearance that's easy to clean and stands up to scrubbing. *A PRIMER COAT MAY BE NEEDED ON SOME SURFACES. SEE BACK LABEL FOR DETAILS.

- Use BEHR ULTRA® Paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (2 primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas
- Lock in stains with BEHR ULTRA® Paint as a spot primer, for heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA Paint to a small section, if stain bleeds through, spot prime another coat to the stained area and test again before top coating, if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50°F-90°F (10°C-32°C), darker colors may require additional dry time between coats, cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time

Is Ultra the best paint and does it cover in one coat
Hi Barb, thanks for the question. Our Ultra paint is a very good paint, but not our top of the line paint. Our best paint is our Dynasty Paint. Also, keep in mind to get one coat coverage with either Dynasty or Marquee Paint, you need to choose a color from our One-Coat Palette, and you need to be painting over an already primed or painted surface. Will I still need to prime drywall that is newly textured, if I'm planning on using paint that has primer in it already?
