missing plug
Theoverall quallity of the product is good but coming with only 3 plugs make it hard ti hace it installed oirdoors, as most of the time you use obly one connection and leave 4 open ports

It is a weatherproof electrical box and did what it was intended to do. It really would have been nice if they stocked the blank covers in bronze too. since they don't I painted silver ones black for the two I needed.

Very nice box, solid and perfect color match for the two outside LED floodlights on my new sunroom. Each came with three plastic plugs but I used the rear hole so needed one more plug for each box. (Home Depot sells packs of 4 plugs.) I sawed off the mounting ears and drilled two holes in the back for internal screws giving a more professional look.

The box is heavy aluminum, and comes with 4 plugs. The grey color works for many outdoor applications.
I used some outdoor deck screws to attach the box to a wood beam.
There is no cover and no gasket, so I had to obtain those separately.
I used my box to install a chandelier in my covered pavilion. This is considered a damp location, not a wet location. I just mounted the box, connected the conduit (watertight connectors) and wired up the fixture.
You might also be able to get these boxes in other colors if needed.

This is an unbiased review that is unaffected by the fact that I received this product for free. As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 200 reviews to date.
This is an ordinary outdoor box, usually used for a light fixture. It is made of cast aluminum for rust prevention. It has 5 wire passageways, four in the sides and one in back. All are 1/2", so keep that in mind if you need to use strain reliefs larger than 1/2". The box I received is bit different from the image on the web. It has two extra mounting holes inside of two of the ones shown. All are tapped for #8-32. See my photo with dimensions. There is a ground lug with screw included. There are two mounting ears. The box is painted grey, is made in China and carries a UL approval marking. The manufacturer is TayMac Corporation.

solid box for exterior mounting of fixtures or junction box. the paint is good, even where i scratched it when the driver slipped it didn't expose the metal, i would think it should last a long time outside, paint may fade some eventually. having 5 half inch outlets to lamps or conduit to is very convenient. the two mounting tabs are easy to use and hardware is included in the box. i prefer to mount the box with the fasteners enclosed in the box. which is easy enough to do as well.

Bell Outdoor's cast aluminum outlet box is exactly what was expected, but with a much nicer casting and finish. The lettering inside is very crisp and sharp, which makes zero difference in functionality, but it's pleasing to hold a nicely made piece, especially considering it's an outlet box.
The grounding screw is already in place, two more screws are provided for the fixture, and four plugs for the extra inlets not being used. For our newest motion ight/camera, I put the fitting into the back of the box, drilled the house fascia so it will fit through, and applied silicon to the back of the box and added two construction screws to the ears to hold it on the house. The grey powder coating just blends into our grey gable, and with a white fixture hanging from it, I don't even notice the box.
Great box, well made, includes everything necessary to install. Pick up a round cover if you're installing your electric line first, and next weekend intend to install the fixture.
