      by|Mar 8, 2024

      Answer This Question

A:  While BioAdvanced 12 Month Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed is a great product for treatment of listed pests, it is not designed to be effective against coddling moth. We do offer a product in our Natria line, called Coddling Moth Pheromone Trap. -Madison

        Wow! Night+Day, Amazing Difference!!
I bought BioAdvanced 12mth Tree+Shrub Protect and Feed, for my mum’s Japanese Magnolia Plants. One of which had been suffering from what I recently learned was a MASSIVE Scale infestation and Black Soot Disease. The infestation was unsightly and the plant looked pitiful. We treated her plant with this product, and in no time at all, “POOF!!” BOTH the Scale AND the Black Soot were completely GONE! Not only that, but the Japanese Magnolia Plant BLOOMED like it had not bloomed in YEARS! It looked absolutely GORGEOUS! So much so, that Neighbors stopped by just to comment on how Beautiful my mum’s Japanese Magnolia Tree Looked with its Big, Beautiful, Blooming Flowers! Unfortunately, I do not have any “After” treatment pictures, but if I can update this review later, I will attempt to take some pics and post them later (just waiting for all our rain to stop..*chuckles*)..But, Trust Me, the difference is Night & Day between “Before” and “After”, and how Sick and Pitiful the Tree was compared to how Vibrant, Lush, Blooming and Beautiful the Tree was after the treatment took effect! I constantly recommend this and BioAdvanced other related products (the one made for Fruits/Veggies, the other made for Houseplants, etc..) to other Gardeners to treat their plants, trees, houseplants, etc. and I have made those recommendations without any reservation and with absolutely confidence that person will NOT be disappointed in the Results, but will be astounded at the “Before/After” difference when using this product!

This product saved our Magnolia tree
In 2015, our Magnolia tree was so infested with aphids that black pus dripping from its covered our sidewalks and driveway. We called a tree service to remove the tree but the arborist from that company recommended we try this project first and we did. Amazing results. We have treated it annually ever since and tree's magnificent blooms are a favorite in our neighborhood. I used the liquid form of the product but could only find the dry version this year (2020). No matter how much I "squeezed" to remove the top as instructed, I could NOT open it until I removed the stop tabs with a razor blade. I'm pretty strong but your packaging engineers must have gorilla strength to remove this top. That said, I won't reduce the product rating because I would have eaten the top off is necessary to get to the product inside that is what helps me tree.

Amazing! Thank you so much for the photos! Your Magnolia tree looks gorgeous! I am very sorry to hear about your difficulty with the cap and will certainly forward your comments to the appropriate parties.
            Web worms love it!
I have a large birch in my front yard that gets web worms almost every fall. I spread 10 lbs. of the granules around the tree in June 2016 in an effort to prevent fall web worms. I spread another 10 lbs. around the tree just before a nice rain in early September. It is now September 22, and it seems like the product actually attracts the nasty worms. I have had the worst infestation ever! I cut out and burn all the nests I can reach, but they keep spreading! This Bayer product didn't work at all for preventing worms on my tree.

              Great product for my trees!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Bayer Tree and Shrub Concentrate on my Redbud sapling, dogwood trees, azaleas and clematis for several years with amazing results. It is a low cost, very easy and quick to apply solution to pests and is also a slow release fertilizer. Best of all, only one application per year keeps all of the trees and shrubs healthy and looking great for the entire season. When my friends ask how come their yards don't look as good as mine, I advise them to use Bayer Tree and Shrub Concentrate like I do.

Save your Trees The Easy Way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are both SunBurst Locust trees about 3 feet tall. One tree is treated with Bayer Tree and Shrub Granules in early Spring, The defoliated tree was not. Surprisingly these Caterpillars did their damage so rapidly that I noticed one morning that these untreated trees had been defoliated, when the night before they were in perfect condition. This product is so easy to use and it lasts all season the application.

                    Scale on crape myrtles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We landscape as a Tarrant County Master Gardeners, a homeless shelter Union Gospel Mission. Three crape myrtles have had scale on there trunks and branches. It was unsightly and located in front of mission which is very visible. We applied the 12 month protect and feed product two years ago along with dormant oil spray in late January. We are in zone 7B or 8A and it has kept the scale from returning. We apply in the spring. Thanks for this product. It is easy to use and works. Gay Larson Coordinator for TCMGA

                        My Beautiful Ash Trees..!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Many of the Ash trees in SW Ohio and my neighborhood have died because of the emerald beetle. A local nursery recommended this product a few years ago. I apply the product to the base of the trees twice a year... Thanks Bayer for making a GREAT product and keeping my beautiful Ash trees healthy and pretty !!!

This fixed the problem we had with our crepe myrtle bush. Eradicated the Powdery mildew which is a filmy, white fungus that grows on leaves and flower buds. Round, white spots on upper leaf surfaces expand and merge, covering both sides of leaves.
