Stopped working after a couple weeks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I bought ours 3 weeks ago and now it reads 365 and nothing works! Very frustrating! This is our 2nd black+decker in 2 months won't be getting a new one we'll buy a differen Brand!

Buy Monster surge protectors
I've had this exact make for several years. However, lightening and power surges fried the electronics four times before I figured it out! Otherwise, this is a good coffee maker and I use it every day.

Beware....
Like so many other reviews, I cannot drink the coffee made with this machine. The chemically taste and smell of hot plastic is pervasive. I had this problem with a single serve model previously, ended up throwing it away, so I'm not sure why I tried B &D again.

Awful
I am on my 3rd of this model on returns for the fact that it cannot keep time , gaining hours everyday which makes the auto brew function useless which is why I purchased in the first place ...... such a waste of time and money

Plastic smell and taste
I just want to say I have purchased Black and Decker and your products have been great but this last coffee maker cm4000sc has been awful. My coffee tastes of burnt plastic. I have tried cleaning it but nothing seems to work. What steps should I take now?

Brews great coffee fast.
I was looking for a simple coffee maker that would brew good coffee fast, this product does that every time.
When I was shopping for a coffee maker I didn’t want to pay for extra features I wouldn’t use, this one seemed easy to use.
This was also the only one that advertised fast brewing, that was important for us and it works great.
We had a Black & Decker a few years ago, it worked well for at least 7 years (our coffee maker is used several times every day), so hope to get the same from this one.
We programmed the clock when we bought it and it keeps time just fine.
