20 in. 13 AMP Corded Electric Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower

This mower is a beast. I used this bad boy for 7 years, mowing front and back lawn, mulching tree branches, and as a huge vacuum cleaner in that I would blow all of the debris into the grass and mow it all up into the bag. Recently I disassembled the unit as it stopped working all of a sudden and to sharpen the blade. It worked for another day but finally the bearing in the electric motor was toast. I highly recommend this unit.

The first one only lasted for two months. I opened it up then realized the bearings were frozen. Contacted customer support and sent me a new one. This one after a year and a half started making noise, shut it off. Opened it and the bearings were frozen again. Dirt and grass was all over the motor and the break. Got new bearings. Going to fix it myself. Won't last very long.

This was by far the worst waste of $200 you can possibly imagine. It is a flimsy piece of trash made out of other flimsy pieces of recycled trash. And all of the parts are plastic so that they break instantly do not buy.

The height adjustments are great and the foldable feature is also great and easy to use. I've had the mower for a month but i like all its features but I would have liked to see it in store. I know it's not popular but i believe it beats battery powered at least for an older person and not for commercial use. Both gas and battery powered mowers need other items that create storage problems.

I have used an electric mower for 25 years. The Black & Decker mower I now own is 3 years old. I have a small yard. probably about 1000 sq. ft. front & back. My issue is with the WHEELS on the 20 inch, 13 AMP, corded, electric, walk-behind, push lawn mower. The WHEELS fall off because the clips that hold the wheels on the axle slip off the axle. The WHEELS fall off. This has happened several times. Usually in the middle of the task. I must stop and pickup the parts. Then re-assemble the wheel. VERY FRUSTRATING !! To say the least ! Would I buy another electric mower ? YES Would I buy another Black & Decker Heck NO !! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING - Bob

Horrible Product bought one last year and it stopped working after one summer. I thought maybe we had done something to it so I bought another one this year. Used it 4 times and it quit working and I know we did not do anything to it. Both of them will just hum and the blade wont turn. There isn't anything stuck or holding it up either. Don't waist your money.

After 3 month’s use, the teeth controlling the angle of the handle won’t fully clapsed. I ordered it online but picking up at store, and the customer service told me to take the mower to the store where I plucked the mower up for repairmen. I lost the receipt and had the online order email deleted, and I am not sure if the store will still repair it. Will update my review for further information about the repairmen.

Setup was very easy, right out of the box, just followed the instructions as indicated. Great lawnmower. I had a Homelite electric mower but because of its age I could not locate a replacement grass catcher bag, even from Home Depot when I bought it originally. After much online searching and a number of phone calls, I did finally find a vendor but it would take 3 weeks for them to get the bag, then I would have to purchase and wait until it got here before I could mow my grass. I could have jerry rigged the old bag but you can only do so much with duct tape, so reluctantly I began shopping for a new mower. Seems a poor alternative to spend $$ for a new mower when all I needed was a new grass catcher bag. After research and visitation to several stores for a replacement mower, I settled for the Black & Decker 20 in.13-amp electric walk behind mower. I feel I made a great choice. It was easy to use, it cut my grass evenly, very evenly; it looked like a carpet when I finished. My Homelite never did that even with a new blade, it was always kind of a choppy cut. I was really surprised. I had used an electric B & D years ago, but this current one is very good; I am very pleased. Why an electric? Environment: no gas fumes, don't have to put gas/oil in it, change filter when needed or spark plug. Didn't want a lithium battery operated mower. Cut time is only 30 minutes or so with a lithium ion version, and I have a front and back yard, just not enough charge time. A spare battery would have been another $60 expense. Bought this new B & D for about $200, plus I received a 10% discount for being a VietNam Veteran. The Lithium ion mowers were much more expensive. Could have bought a gas powered mower for very good price at Home Depot, but again, I am environmentally conscious and I don't mind dealing with an electric cord and have for years. If I run over it, other than getting a mild shock, a 100 foot replacement cord at Home Depot is also an inexpensive cheap fix. It has a safety push-button start: you cannot start the mower without pushing the start button first, then squeeze the lever bar to advance the mower; comes to an immediate dead-stop when you release the bar. The grass height bar is very smooth to raise or lower. The mover glides over the grass easily and smoothly without a lot of effort. Having used the Homelite, I was reluctant to buy another electric mower, but, I didn't want a gas or lithium ion mower as stated above. This B & D mower more than met my expectations, and beyond. This mower is well built, powerful, cuts evenly without any choppiness, easy to use, rugged yet lightweight. I would highly recommend this mower option as an alternative to gas or lithium ion. The only thing I would change perhaps would be rubber wheels rather than plastic but this would add weight to the mower.

Seems to be a great little lawn mower. Its really cute too. The push handle easily folds down to store in our shed out of the way. The other handles make it easy to pick up and put in our vehicle. We have used it 3 times and it performed beautifully! The bag fills up quickly (our lawn was overgrown) but it's really easy to remove, dump and put back on. Great for someone that is not very strong because its lite and easy to maneuver. We really like it and are happy with it.

Electric, gas, or rechargeable? Always a top question with mowers. Personally, after trying this product, I'm going all electric. With rechargeable mowers, the battery doesn't always last a full mow, or the battery takes too long to charge, or worse, the battery dies on you and costs $200 to replace. What!? And gas is out of the question. So why electric? Electric has the fewest components necessary to operate. It doesn't need batteries and is ready to go immediately. This mower also has a neat feature called EdgeMax. This is a flat edge on the left side of mower to help you mow edges with better precision. This feature works really well, as it allows me to mow around my shrubs without worry that I will cut something unintended. Raising the lawnmower is a cinch, takes only a second and requires pulling one lever. Lastly, the mower includes a side discharge accessory or the bag. Both are easy to use. Starting the mower is effortless, just push a button, pull the bar, you're ready! Best part of all? Little to no maintenance, no gas to refill and no batteries to charge. The mower is so easy to push, it's almost like pushing a vacuum around the house. Also, there is a cord organizer near the start button, which is great. Finally, it is easy to fold up and has grips to carry the mower with, although this mower is quite heavy! The best tip i can offer is, start at the house and mow your way outward. Doing this makes it easier to avoid the power cord. Definitely recommend this product to get your lawn slick!
