I am not aware of any. Plus if you look at the way it is designed and constructed, it does not seem to allow for that.
Sure u can battery on metal table, the charger unit is plastic. No problem
If you order the battery from Home Depot, just look up Black & Decker 40 volt batteries. The description will also list what it fits. You'll also need a charger and they usually come as a set anyway. You can also find many aftermarket Li-ion batteries and some manufacturers offer 2 batteries and a charger. Part number LBX2240 is a 2.2 amp-hour 40V rechargeable, and LBXR36 is 3.0 amp-hour battery, so it lasts a bit longer between charges. Remove the battery from the charger once the green light stops flashing, or at least don't leave it charge for more than a day. Lithium batteries hold their charge once topped off, so they don't need to (and shouldn't) be left in the charger as it can shorten the battery life over time. Also, avoid Nicad batteries if at all possible. They're less expensive but also less efficient, weigh more, and are slowly being phased out anyway.
The chain saw leaks oil from the bottom
Yes, the LBXR36 is a 3.0 amp-hour battery and fits my same trimmer and also my 40 volt B&D week whacker.
Great tool, no need for gas. Light and very powerful
This listing is for model # LHT2436.
One hour sometimes even less!
My B&D 40 volt charger only works on 120 volts. You can use a 220/240 to 120 stepdown transformer and it will work fine, will just take a bit longer to reach full charge. You can also check on some aftermarket chargers that may be dual voltage compatible.
Yes, I have purchased extra 40 volt batteries at an other big box retailer and I have also seen them at a local hardware chain and online. Shop around for the best price. The battery is on the expensive side.
