With the PR22 it's a simple process of dethatching or power raking that can effectively remove thatch and allow air, water, or fertilizer and nutrients to reach the root system and promote a healthy lawn. The PR22 Power Rake is well balanced, portable and offers versatility for many applications.

    A:  Dennis - This unit comes in a wooden crate and the only thing required to assemble it is raise the handle into place and put the pins in it. Then put the required amount of engine oil into it and gas. You are ready to go. Thank you for your question.

          The shipping crate did not protect the power rake. The gas tank has a large scratch on it. It appears that someone tried wrapping the crate in stretch film to reassemble the crate. The power rake does a very good in remove the thatch.

              Machine arrived undamaged and Estes did a great job shipping and delivering. After removing the machine checking and adding fluids I gave it its first run on my side lawn. About 6 feet forward on the highest blade setting the right front part of the axle fell off and ground the machine into the lawn. The nuts and bolts of the front “axle” were somewhere in the lawn, left part of axle was barely on. In order to reattach the missing nuts and bolts I ran to the store. Also engine became flooded with oil while being tipped for 5 minutes. I would have felt better about the $2000 purchase if the quality control was better, and my lawn didnt have a trench from the axle falling off.
