12 in. Electrician's Tote Bag with Integrated Parts Bin Compartment

This is a great little bag. I recently switched to using this open-style of tool bag, because it's so much easier to use than a tool box, with everything stacked up on each other. Because I do have a lot of tools, I got this bag to use as a "project bag"... meaning, when I don't need to bring everything plus the kitchen sink (eg; my main tool bags which are so heavy), I can load into it just the tools I need for a project and carry this portable little guy with me. (It's not that small... just small compared to my "big" tool bags.) It holds PLENTY of tools, and has a handy little container that stores in the base of it, for keeping things like miscellaneous screws, nails, etc (which is what I use it for), or you could use it for drill bits, etc. I really like the carrying options... the handle has a rubber grip for when you're carrying it, and it also has a padded shoulder strap, allowing it to be carried hanging from your shoulder. This is a very versatile bag... it would be perfect as a main tool bag for someone who doesn't have an enormous amount of tools (would hold plenty!), as a project bag the way I use it, or as a bag that will hold the tools you need, for example, if you were working up on a ladder and wanted to have the tools easy to reach with you... you could hang this from your shoulder and work just fine, being able to reach and put the tools in and out. It's very sturdy and of great quality... I expect I'll be using it for the rest of my life. Great, great bag. Love it!

Tools are invaluable to performing work but if you can't find them or lay your hands on them quickly when needed, not so much. As an electrical/plumbing handyman working out of the back of an SUV tote bags are best for smaller hand tools since I don't have the luxury of spreading them out neatly in a shop setting. Quality tool bags are capable of lasting several years depending on frequency of use but I discovered that replacing them yearly forces me to re-organize the clutter that eventually seems to always take over. This bag by Bootstrapt has more useful straps and pockets than my previous ones so I was impressed how much neater and organized it seemed after reloading it from the previous one. The first photo shows the emptied contents of the old bag (minus some duplicate tools and miscellaneous trash). Virtually everything you see has been loaded into the new bag which now seems comparatively empty and easier to use... maybe I can longer useful service out of it than before.

This 12" electrician's tote by Bootstrapt is a wonderful tote ans it fits and fills me needs perfectly. What i like about the tote is the sturdy construction. The sides are stiff with a lot of pockets and pouches. There is a shoulder strap and a tape holder. The bottom of the tote has 4 heavy duty pads for a non slip grip. The plastic parts bin is well secured inside a zipper pouch that is clearly labeled.

I like neat and orderly toolboxes but also compartments to keep items separated. The Bootstrapt 12-inch Electrician’s Tote Bag serves just that purpose. The tote bag itself is very versatile and is not limited to just being an electrician’s tote bag. I find the Bootstrapt tote bag to have been very well made and it should stand up to everyday wear and tear that all tote bags go through when jostled around in a toolbox or on the job site. The stitching is heavy duty and the carrying strap seemed strong, yet flexible. The tote bag has numerous side pockets that are located on the outside of the bag as well as the inside of the bag. They are basically uniform in size. This was the only drawback that I encountered, since I would have liked to see a couple larger pockets made into the bag. My use was not so much for tools, but rather for my towing and strapping needs. Trying to fish out a strap from a tangled mess is frustrating and time consuming. As you can see in the picture, the Bootstrapt Tote Bag is perfect for an orderly collection of straps and ratchets.

This heavy-duty Electrician's Tote Bag with Integrated Parts Bin Compartment is well-made and suitable for carrying everyday tools. The build and material for the bag are top-notch. There is even a carrying strap included when your hands are full. I use this one mainly to carry smaller hand tools such as pliers, rulers, level, wire cutters, tape, and screwdrivers. This is the easiest way to get organized and have access to most of the gadgets in one place. This is a great product.

I have been looking for a new tool bag since my wife took my last one to work at her new job. I really like the open top carry design of this Bootstrapt 12 in. electrician's tote bag with the integrated parts bin compartment on the bottom. It comes with a built in carry handle or you can attach the removable shoulder strap should you prefer it. It has plenty of pouches on both sides of the bag and on both ends. There is a dedicated metal clip you can attach your tape measure to on one end. There are pouches on both sides of the interior that are shorter and perfect for storing tools are different size fasteners you might commonly use. My favorite part of the whole tool bag is the integrated parts bin compartment on the very bottom. To access it all you have to do is unzip it and pull out the clear plastic bin with all you favorite fasteners in it. If you are one of those highly organized people you will definitely appreciate this feature. I can now have all my spacers and special screws all in one place. This whole electricians tote bag is thoroughly thought out and very sturdy. The canvas like material is very thick and will take quite a bit of abuse. If you are a journeymen electrician or just an organized homeowner either one will really appreciate this tote bag.

Heavy duty little tote. This work bag is quite substantial. The woven poly canvas covers a rigid metal frame. It is strong and heavy. The mouth of the bag is open. When you pick it up by the handle or strap, it does not close. Plenty of pockets all around the outside as well as inside. There is a parts bin in a zippered compartment along the bottom. It was a bit tough sliding it out with no tools in the bag itself. Once there is some weight in the bag, it could be challenging sliding it out. It is a nice feature and keeps screws, wire connectors, zip ties etc... all in one place. The bag has 4 footpads on the bottom of the unit. Overall, it’s a quality piece and I would recommend it to a friend.

This bag is simply ROBUST and extremely well built if albeit a bit heavy. Its also a bit heavier than I expected. I found that it is big enough and robust enough to actually swallow and carry a typical-sized automotive battery with ease. The lower compartment that unzips holds a compartmentalized plastic box that would be great for keeping various screws and hardware separated or for various terminals and the like. The only issue is that even empty, its a bit difficult to remove the box as it fits so snug. If the upper part is loaded with tools, it makes it even a bit harder. I would recommend increasing the strength of the space or the size of it so that the plastic box can be retrieved easier.

I am not usually a fan of open-top tool carriers, but I ordered this "BootStrapt 12 in. Electrician's Tote Bag with Integrated Parts Bin Compartment" as a substitute for 5-Gallon buckets with pocket sleeves. I always overfill the things, and then I have to dig to find what I want. Bigger than a tool pouch, but smaller than a bucket, this may really be a better alternative. It keeps tools visible and easy to grab, like a pouch, but sits flat like a bucket, so you don't have to carry or hang it. Dimensions are 9" D x 12" W x 13" H. Inside it has it has pockets on the 13" sides, elastic loops on the 9" ends, and there are pockets on all four exterior surfaces. It also has a removeable small-parts bin for wire nuts and other hardware, that fits in a metal-zippered compartment at the base of the bag. They even marked it "PARTS BIN COMPARTMENT" if there is any doubt. It has a shoulder strap that attaches with what I assume is black-anodized aluminum hardware on both the bag and the strap. Not plastic. The base has large plastic feet to keep it out of water and grunge. The only weak point I saw was how the handle attaches. The handle itself is fine, a thick molded rubber piece that grips nicely, but it is attached by flexible fabric held on with rivets, not the usual metal bar that spans the entire tool bag.
