Q:What is the depth of the cassette for an outside mount? For us, we need to install over the window but directly under the eave. Need to know the size of the cassette to ensue it will fit before ordering.

Excellent quality made in USA
This is a SunSetter EasyShade apparently sold under the Bali name. It has solid construction using many metal parts. I purchased the mechanical model which has a detachable metal hand crank that straightens to hang vertically. It does not block 100% of the light, but the company claims 90% blockage. Installation should be straightforward on an outside wall or horizontal ceiling, but I wanted it mounted under a sloped deck for additional protection from direct sun and weather.

Excellent outdoor shades
These shades are made well and are high quality. They look so nice up or down. Mine are the dark color and filter out the sunlight beautifully on my porch, they cut down on the pollen and dust too, helping reduce the cleaning maintenance of my porch. I am in NW Louisiana. They are easy to install and offer a lot of protection from the outdoor elements. I have now installed 7 of them. I have a large screened in porch (550 sq.ft)and installed them on the inside of the existing screens completely around it, including the doorways. They did not seem affected at all by high winds we had recently. These shades make me feel as though I am in a large room, or an extension of my home, when I am on the porch. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it.
