BGB-30DC is a 30 Gal. Drum of Calcium Chloride ice melting liquid. CaCl2 is used by snow removal professionals because it is exothermic (heat generating). Calcium Chloride is safe on all surfaces and is the fastest acting ice-melt product available. It works down to minus 20°.

AnswerIf the roadway is 8ft wide, the suggested rate of application is going to be approximately 450 gallons per 1/10 of a mile. I hope this helps.

works well
I really like this product as it doesn't track into the buildings were I remove snow. I usually remove most of the snow and then go back and spray this instead of a ice melter. It melts any remaining snow and keeps anything from accumulating after I leave the property. I maintain 2 post offices and 2 elderly housing projects and I use it on all my sidewalks.
