What gauge aluminum is this
When installing a Barlett outdoor living Carlsbad Cypress semi privacy vinyl fence do I need this 5 x 5 aluminum insert
I am in a high wind area I plan to use in insert on the end posts and every other line post. 1 of the answers below says they cannot be used in line posts but others recommend it for high winds. Also - for 6' high Linden-could I use the 94" instead?
Will a Barrette aluminum insert fit into a weatherables post?

I live in California and get very little wind and no extreme weather. Do I need these inserts for my fence, or just the gate?

How can I protect the portion of the aluminum t Is hat is in contact with the earth from corroding? Is this anodized aluminum or extruded aluminum? Is there a special paint neede to coat this?

Will this Aluminum insert work with the Barrette Louvered vinyl fence post model #73050554?
5in. x 5in. x 100in. Louvered Gate Post Insert is model # 73040719.
Can the insert be used to extend an 8ft post to 9ft? So the insert would extend 1 ft below the bottom of the post. The insert and bottom of the vinyl post would be set in concrete.
Let me know if you try it. I am buying one to give it a go but it won?t be here for a few weeks
