It easily handles 30 gallons of common trash, black oil sun flower seeds, dried beans, rolled oats, etc. Maybe providing what it is that you are concerned about would be a good start. Or could just buy one, try it for your application and if it is not satisfactory, take it back for a refund.

Well if you are a keg kinda person you know there are 8 gallon and 15 gallon kegs. 8 will fit, 15 needs moar room for water and ice. Hint: add a little rock salt to the ice around the keg to make it REALLY cold..

Lids were cheaply made and had dents in them as well. Would never recommend or purchase this item again. It was a much better quality when I purchased them 10 years ago. I was embarrassed giving it as a gift!!!

I bought this to store dog food which it holds a significant amount (72.8 lbs and I still had approximately 6" of unused space). My concern is that if we were to carry it with that weight the handles will give.

Purchased two, one was a dented around the bottom edge, but it is a garbage can, so big whoop. I use heavy-duty contractor bags as liners which overlap tops of can and provides tight seal for lids. Keep them inside locked garage so not worries about weather or varmints. Solid cans, good galvanizing, expect to use these for many years.

After using this trash can outdoors for our recylable items for 4 YEARS, I feel I must write a review to warn others. The poor design of the handle means the can leaks when it rains and will fill with water. This also means that over time, the can DOES RUST! The bottom of our can is almost rusted through. Check out the photos I am uploading. So much for "Made in USA" quality. I regret purchasing this and will replace it with a recycled polymer can instead. This trash can has been nothing but a disappointment trying to support Made in the USA products. An outdoor trash can should not leak or rust!
