        Igniters do not last.
Look elsewhere if you want an igniter that lasts longer than a week. On my second torch tip now and both igniters are shoddy at best only lighting maybe once a day if I'm lucky. More consistency just using a lighter.

          Horrible torch head
Don't have your hand on the threaded brass piece as you ignite this junk. The piezoelectric igniter inside arced to the brass, shocked me, and now no longer lights without a lighter or some other form of ignition.

Piezo igniter didn't last a month
I already own 2 TS4000s. Bought this because I needed a trigger start with adjustable flow. Ignitor hasn't lasted a month with daily use. Other than that the valve was tight and the adjustment was nice. Probably fine for occasional use.

              Waste of money and time
Worked the first time I tested it out to make it was all good, weekend came up, I cut my pipe to replace a 90 elbow and NOTHING A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING, WOULD NOT IGNITE,, product is trash stay away, I went back exchanged hoping it was just bad luck but NO, same issue with replacement.

Hello, and thank you for your review. The issue you are likely experiencing, based on your description, is that this torch is designed to be used upright, as it does not have a pressure regulator to control the flow of fuel through the torch. When used inverted, fuel will pass thorough the torch and extinguish the flame, hence the ignition issue you are now seeing. Our TS3500 and our cast body torches (TS4000, BZ4500HS, and our TS8000) all have this pressure regulator in them. This model, and some of our other solid brass torch heads are designed for other use cases like plumbing or soldering that work best with the torch head upright. We can easily be reached at: Bernzomatic@WorthingtonIndustries.com if you have any additional questions. Thank you. BernzomaticProducts

The flame ignites with the igniter switch and the metal clip is handy to safely hang the torch.

You still need the extension hose
I used this with the Benzomatic propane bottle to melt crack filler into my driveway. By virtue of melting something on the ground I needed to tilt the bottle on its side, revealing an issue with the torch head (but would most likely affect any other head as well). This would cause flare ups, slowing down my work. On its own the torch head is a good purchase, but you limit yourself if you do not also purchase the extension hose. The self igniting feature with the press of the red button is a nice feature. Every so often the flame would go out and I would have to depress the red button to get the flame going again. I'm not sure why the flame would go out, but it was easy enough to get it back going. This is simple to screw onto the bottle or extension hose.

Universal product that fits on several propane tank sizes. Good for ligting fires and green egg. Flame stayed constant and didnt extinguish when inverted

                    Just Terrible.....0 Stars....
Lasted less than a week, piezo went out, cost me an expensive epoxy pour. This is the second one that has died like this. I will never buy anything from this company again.
