Q:I see that these are specifically made for K style/ ogee style gutters. Is there any reason why they won't work on California style? Seems like the top /important part should be about the same.

Micro screen openings are great.
Easy to install. I cleaned, hosed out and leaf blew my gutters clean. Spray painted flat black rustoleum before I put on the covers. The guards were a simply lift the edge of the shingles up and get the guard in then slide it out even with the gutter. Stainless steel self tap screws and 1/4" driver came with the kit. Three screws in each panel. I did 4 panels at a time. Measure the last panel before screwing down the next to last so you can cut it an prevent the last section being too small.

Metal roof installation. Was unable to place the back of the guard under the metal roof, so had to bend the back up 90 degrees and attach to the fascia. Very easy installation. Had to buy a box of screws to supplement the number of screws supplied. Pre-drilling attachment holes in the guard was a big help.
We have Sycamore trees, which means lots of big leaves! The leaves blow off the guard easily.
If you need gutter guards, these are the ones to install!

My Handiman thought these were good quality and easy to install. He did pick up additional screws though as the boxed guards only came with a pack of screw for one per 3 ft section.

They have been repelling the pine needles which is a big improvement over other gutter guards but they are not as sturdy as I had hoped at this price. The ends of the gutters are also not as good as some competitors.
