Can they be turned into spindles on a lathe?

Can these be used for a dock piling

can this be used as a foundation for a shed?
This product is not recommended for use as a foundation for a shed. It is not a structural product.
What type of adhesive is compatible to stick to this material? I'm using the 4x4's as sign posts and I need to glue the sign into a mortise on the side of the post.
