Haiku L 52 in. Indoor White Ceiling Fan with Integrated LED Light, Works with Alexa, Remote Control Included

I bought several of the 52 inch fans at once through home depot. Note the the Haiku L 52 ships with a 5 inch extension tube. The 5inch will work with an 8ft ceiling. If you have a 9ft of 10ft ceiling you will need to order separate extension tubes either10in or 22in which are proprietary (the wiring is the length of the tube) and need to be ordered from Big A Fans. A universal tube isn't going to work. Home Deport doesn't list the longer BAF extension rod for sale(or at least time of this post). Their extension rods are not cheap so plan for the extra expense. It would be really to make this clear in the product listing.

Amazing build quality. Designed for an easy install, or take-down. Taking down the previous fan involved dozens of screws. This BAF only had a few, and could be opened up to the wiring within a few minutes (and no accidental damage). It is absolutely worth the extra expense. I won't buy any other brand now.

I bought three of these fans. They look good and the fans work well. Unfortunately, the LED lights on one of the units comes on randomly every minute or two. It makes it impossible to have the fan on during the night. Bad quality control.

When installed properly, silent. Directions could be better.

Ignore the price, seriously ignore the price if you are looking for a quiet fan this is the fan to purchase! We were hesitant about spending so much money for a replacement master bedroom ceiling fan, but after using the fan for a few weeks the cost versus value, feature, quiet operation, and customer support (from BAF directly, see more below) the price is worth the benefits. NOTE: I could not post this review with the company name since it is an "inappropriate" word, so I am using BAF instead. Ugh! This fan using an EC (electronically communicated), not DC (direct current, quiet, but not the quietest) or AC (alternating current, classic buzz or humming noise) motor that is so quiet, no hum or buzzing noise, the only noise is the whoosh of the air flow from the gentle movement of the air. The packaging and instructions were excellent and all parts were labeled for easy connection so there was no confusion about what-part-went-where. All materials are well above the highest standards in quality and composition (e.g. stainless steel screws, flawless paint, smooth plastic edges, etc.). I had an question about the operation of the remote controller and submitted a website technical support question on the BAF site. Within 2 hours I had a phone call (missed it, so voicemail) and an email with the direct contact information to the technician. It was after hours when I called back... The next morning I received a phone call from the technician, the same tech (unusual). He was personable, friendly, and polite. After a couple of minutes of general chit-chat he proceeded to help with the remote control and informed me my unit had WiFi (which I did not realize since it was not showing up on my router). Well after a reset the WiFi was operational. And he then spent 5 minutes going over the original inquiry about the operation of the remote. EXCELLENT customer service, EXCELLENT fan. You cannot go wrong with this fan. If you need a quiet fan that moves air gently all the way to vigorously with the only sound being the air movement, get a BAF. Oh, the fan looks very stylist too! Our ceiling is a 28 degree ceiling, no extra mounting require, the stock mount can be installed up to a 33 degree ceiling. Needed the 22" down rod, HomeDepot does not sell it, ordered directly from BAF. Installation time, including the removal of the old ancient fan, took 32 minutes. App for the iPhone has limited, but useful functionality (e.g. schedule on/off and speed time, works great the fan turns on at 2 PM every day). Remote... Love the Sleep mode, turns off the fan after 8 hours so you wake up without the fan running. Whoosh mode is great too, changes the speed down 2 speed settings over 2 minutes, then back up 2 speed settings over 2 minutes, then repeats until canceled. There is a Timer to turn the fan over up to 7 hours after setting the timer. The light unit has 16 settings, the color is a bit on the 'yellow' side (we prefer the more daylight color), but at setting 16 the light is satisfactory for a bedroom, but not good enough to read or illuminate the room well enough (this is the only minor disappointment, since the light unit could be engineered to allow the user to set the color K-factor). And there are blue LED light in the center of the light that indication Fan Speed, Light Intensity, Reset, etc. so you know what is programmed by the number of LEDs shown. Oh, there is some confusion out there about "can you reverse the fan". YES! You can reverse the fan... Stop the fan, then press Whoosh 3 times then press Fan On. The fan will reverse the direction. Delivery was reasonable and arrived 1 day later then estimated. Fan EXCEEDED all of our expectations. Purchased on May 2, 2021, installed on May 19, 2021. Going to order replacements for the other 3 bedrooms and our main family room to replace the 22 year old fans and BAF will be the fan of choice. It will be great to get rid of the hum in the house, our fans run 18/7/365. Okay, now after reading, BUY the fan!
