I have been a Master plumber for about ten years now, so I have installed my fair share of toilets. These bolt holders have definitely made setting slots on flanges easier, because they hold the johnny bolts straight while I'm dropping the bowl in place.
The insert-side opening of the rubber is sized small, to get a good bite on the johnny bolt. Just wedge it in place and it'll stay, no wax or extra nuts needed. Pretty convenient.

Not a lot to say. They are as advertised. They mounted securely in the flange and will work on all flanges, toilet bolts, and hence any toilet being placed on the flange. Having set toilets with and without them, with them is easier since they keep the bolts upright. Where I placed them initially is where they stayed while setting the toilet. Alignment over the wax ring with no disturbance was much easier as the bolts stayed straight. I was confident the wax ring was not damaged vs. without you always have that question of “will it leak, do I have a tight seal?” until you’ve flushed it the first few times. Well worth their price.

OK, I was a little skeptical on these when I ordered them but I figured they were worth a try. These toilet bolt holders from Big Foot are made of a rubber compound. I installed them on the toilet bolt with the larger flange side toward the threaded end of the toilet bolt. I slid the toilet bowl with the holder installed into the toilet flange and to my amazement, they work great! They held the toilet bolts in place and pointing straight up. It does make it much easier to set the toilet on the flange. These are great when you’re doing it yourself. The package comes with eight pieces, enough to set four toilets. They work better than I expected.

I believe this little device will save a lot of time and aggravation when installing a toilet to the floor flange. I have a toilet on order and am looking forward to using it. Usually I try a makeshift method of trying to get the bolts to stay straight while lowering the toilet onto the flange. Most times it take a few tries to get it on without knocking the bolts over and having to start over again. This little bolt holder slides onto the bolt and wedges between the toilet flange and the bolt, holding the bolt upright for you. Definitely a time saver. Fits different sizes of bolts.

These slide over the toilet bowl bolts, either 5/16" or 1/4". They then hold the bolts in position to ease the lowering of the toilet onto the bolts and flange. This is a great improvement over smearing some wax on them to hold them in position. They will also prevent the bolts from turning as you tighten the nuts, and keep the bolt from falling down. The package comes with 8 sleeves, so enough for 4 installations. They make it so easy it reduces the frustration of installation measurably.

What can I say, they do the job. I was issues with my toilets and my guy to me to get these they will come in handy. They was a life saver. The name big foot for a small item says it all. They was just what the plumber ordered. I'm going to put it on my other toilet was well before a problem arise. Looks like it will help with rusting of my screws.

Big Foot Elastomer Toilet Bolt Sleeves. These are small flexible rubber sleeves that fit on the end of your toilet lid bolts (bolts that hold the toilet lid on and in place) before you put on the flange. They expand easily to fit both 5/16 inch and 1/4 inch common toilet lid bolts. My bolts are plastic which I prefer since they are easier to remove and replace lids as they don’t rust. These sleeves create a nice tight seal around the bolt up in the toilet so the seat stays in position and doesn’t shift around.

This review is for the Big Foot Elastomer Toilet Bolt Holders, item # BFES. This red rubber
toilet bolt holder comes 8 to a bag and should last the typical homeowner a few years in a
home with lots of toilets. I have 4 bathrooms in this home and it seems toilet maintenance is
a never ending thing. These bolt holders slide onto the toilet bolt then slide into the flange,
an ingenious idea to hold the bolt upright when placing the heavy toilet onto the bolts. These
will fit both the standard sized toilet bolts in 1/4" and 5/16" applications.
I have mounted several toilets over the years and every time I started to lower the toilet, one
of the flange bolts would fall to the side and I'd have to start all over again. I'm always doing
this by myself so any help is appreciated. I've used tape to hold bolts vertical and was glad to
see that someone with imagination designed this helpful device to make that normally lousy
job easier.
I have used the Big Foot locking toilet flange bolts in the recent months and it's where I first
came across these bolt holders. A smart inexpensive product that I would recommend to both
the homeowner and professional plumber who's installing toilets all the time.

Thank you to the inventor who came up with this idea! The absolute worst part of installing a toilet is trying to line up the closet bolts and not having them move before you can set the toilet down onto the wax seal! Before this item a plumber friend taught me to take a chunk of wax and jam it in to hold the bolts in place. He even kept a wax ring in a can just to have the wax he needed. With this product the books stay in place and the toilet vacant easily be installed! Absolutely the best item I have seen in years!

These bolt holders make it much simpler to install a toilet, Before these I would take a piece of the old wax ring and mush that around the bolts to hold them in place. Now simply slide these over the bolts and it holds them upright and where you want them while still being able to easily move them. They should include these with all new toilets and bolt replacement sets,
