Second time a charm for torin transmission jack ?
Jack lifted transmission & transfer case out very easily way better than man handling it. front wheel on jack was bent so had to return to Homedepot and reorder and what for it again! . but only cons is plastic adjustment knobs need to be steel. Torin customer service is very slow and not that great better to deal with Homedepot for the 90 day return policy then good luck after that.

      Solid, stable, well built jack
This jack handled the heavy transmission and transfer case assembly from my 1979 Ford 1-ton 4X4 with ease! I was even able to bolt the assembly directly to the jack, making it very easy to handle and eliminating any chance of it falling. I've removed and installed a lot of transmissions over the years using just a floor jack, and this made the job SO much easier, and more importantly, much safer. There was no chance I was going to accidentally drop this 500 or so pound assembly onto myself. Being able to adjust the tilt both left to right and front to rear made re-installing the whole assembly a breeze. My only mistake was not getting one of these a long time ago. If you're concerned about this jack not handling your transmission, don't be. It's very stable, all steel, (including the wheels), and is very well built, comparable to jacks costing hundreds more. I'd recommend this jack to anyone, including professionals, which I used to be.

I've removed and installed two 3 speed transmission using this jack. It works great. I am completely happy with it and wished I had bought one 20 years ago!

Broke under a 400lb transmission. Almost killed me. DO NOT BUY. I'm no dope. I'm an engineer. I understand and apply phisics daily, and I know not to side-load a jack like this. The nuts welded on the centre support of the articulating head are not welded well, and in my case broke simply under the load of the 400lb transmission. DO NOT BUY.

Well built, depending on the transmission size the vehicle needs to be lifted higher as the jack with the transmission even at its lowest point is sits quite high. The vehicle needs to be raised higher than most floor jacks are capable to roll the transmission sitting on the jack under the vehicle. Also my 89 Ford Ranger had an additional cross member between the frame rails, this was unusual design that prohibited the use of the transmission jack. It did allow me to use the jack to position the transmission and install the rear cross member support to cradle the transmission. This allowed my grandson and I to muscle the transmission back into the car.

This jack would start to leak down aft 3 mins of load on it. I used it for 1 job lifting parts approx. 200 lbs and the jack is shot. I would not recommend if you are looking for a small RELIABLE transmission jack. This is a case of you get what you pay for.
