The device design has been around a long time. My issue is that it has not been improved in all that time. The recheting device is the issue. It is to cumbersome to depress the lever and spring while depressing the locking cam. A locking switch at both locations should be adapted preventing unwanted release of cable as well as eliminiating pinching of operators fingers. I have a design if you are interested in improving your product.

It’s light duty construction so some components bent or needed adjustment after the 1st use. It’s ok but don’t plan on moving too heavy objects. I still recommend it with that consideration in mind.
