All Blink Mini cameras may be used as digital chimes when paired to the same system as the Blink Video Doorbell.
can i plug in the camera in the house and put in the window to look over the parking lot? want to observe activity because i live in a high rise apt and they have no cameras in the parking area.

Blink devices are not designed to detect motion through glass or screens. In addition, in the nighttime when the IR beam enables, the device's reflection will blind itself, rendering it unable to see anything.
does it record activity free of charge
There is a subscription for our cloud storage, but customers are not required to use it. Another storage option is local storage, activated by plugging a USB flash drive into a Sync Module 2. Local storage has no recurring fee to use the feature. Either of these storage options will let you view clips remotely from your phone. Without a storage system for your clips your system will be able to detect motion, notify you of the motion, and live view. Will it hook up to a video monitor
The Blink system can only be viewed directly on the native Blink Home Monitor application, and can be integrated with Alexa Smart Home as well as IFTTT. No Blink device would be able to be connected to an outside monitor source, or be streamed 24/7 like a CCTV system.
How long does it record? How long between recording?
The Mini 2 can take up to 30 second clips, and the minimum re-trigger time between clips is 10 seconds, to ensure there is enough time to upload and save the previous clip.
Is this compatible with a 5G router. My new router doesn't have a 2.4G channel.
