Dura Cotta Collection by Bloem: The Bloem Dura Cotta Hanging Basket will quickly become one of your favorite pots because it helps keep your plants from drying out and will reduce the time you spend watering. You will love how the sturdy polypropylene construction looks like classic clay, but wont chip, crack, or discolor. Inside the hanging basket, there is a hidden reservoir that holds approximately. 1 in. to 2.5 in. (depending on planter size) of water. The self-watering disk keeps dirt and roots above the hidden reservoir while constantly providing healthy greenhouse-like moisture through the evaporation process. Includes matching macram cords for hanging. How does self-watering disk work. The potting mix is held above the water line by a sturdy screen. The water chamber is connected by small porous channels filled with soil, which then acts as a wick. As water is used by the plant or evaporates off the surface of the soil, capillary action draws more water up from below. The soil has just the right amount of water all the time, but also maintains air pockets, which the plant roots also need to stay healthy.

Sturdy and on sale.
Nice and sturdy. I put them in the baskets that hold coco. liner. Perfect for my spider plants.

Not a substantial product. Very disappointed!
I purchased two of these, and the clips connecting the hanger cords to the pot popped through the holes as another reviewer suggested. I purchased small "S" hooks for a more secure connecting between the pot slots and the hanger. However, the weight of the soil (and the plants aren't even big/heavier yet!) and summer heat combined have stressed the contact points. I'm just waiting to have one break and fall. I am considering taking them both back with the plants in them (but if I try to repot them, I will look my vines from seeds). IF I can edit this to tell whether a return was accepted and how, I will do so. In the middle of writing this, I just tried to call the number 800-430-3376 which is at the right of this composition box and got nothing but run around electronic messages.

It does its job, but connections to the basket from the rope are flimsy. It's the only self watering hanging planter they have, otherwise I'd have gotten a better quality one.
